casing colonization stopped
    #1940652 - 09/22/03 02:32 PM (13 years, 2 months ago)

my weasle cased 6 rye jars with coco coir and put it in a rubber maid. In the first few days growth exploded and is about 60% colonized. For the last 3 days, no noticible growth has occured. No conditions have changed. The weasle misted his casing daily, and gave it plenty of air exchange. He's been doing the same exact thing everyday since he cased, no temp changes either.

Have you begun pin initiation , or are these still incubating ?
But yes it should slow down at some point , especially if you are fanning , giving light ... Casing should not become completly over grown , if myc is poking thru surface everywhere , big the pinning process .

my weasel sent me this picture. Its no where near 100% colonized and the weasel doesn't think its ready to initiate pinning. Any second opinions?

He says he's been incubating for the last 7 days. Just air exchange 4x a day, and misting. No light has been used yet.
