So was surprised that after only 1 week I had this considering what I had heard about the effects of spore drops:



5th flush as well. Would have been composted by now if I was not going away for 3 weeks in a couple of weeks...

I usually let the spores drop. I'm not too concerned with taste, but it does inhibit a second flush. But for me, its only the part of the substrate that has the spore load dropped on it. I usually toss it outside anyways after the first flush, and I flip it. Usually get 2+ oz on second flush and then whatever else, weather permitting.

thanks for responses, il always pick them before the veil breaks. Im surprised so many people allow them to mature

interesting thread...I never really noticed this. but I try to pick um before they spore everywhere. but I love the looks of a opened cap... can  you rinse off the spores when soaking between flushes? so that area will still fruit...:shocked: :mushroom2: :laugh:
