It just seems odd the mycellium in the background is fluffy and the myc in the front looks like its a paint drop on the glass that splattered

Could you provide a detail on how to do that? I was curious about trying it, but have no idea how I would get through the filthy vermiculite layer to the good clean stuff!
Anyway--the mycellium looks good. Pearly white!

Once again true. This jar was an experiment in how much stress can be put on mycellium after inoculation. It has been subject to hot and cold excessive handling and taking the lid off and on several times. So far it has been fine. I dont suggest doing this but. I was curious just how far i could push it. Having a sterile wkrk environment is key. Not saying you need a lab. But once mycellium has a hold. Its not a sensitive as i thought. Iam guessing this is due to the dry verm layer. What do you think?

Oh its just some stupid idea i had of trying to keep cakes alive by feeding them but for one cell division is a huge obstacle and figuring out how to keep a mycellial mat growing and fruiting is another. Iam reading some old stametts stuff now but i dont know. Maybe its just not possible.

Holy shit man thats a list. I have pretty much all the psilocybes from the united states an a few foreign. I have been growing for a few years on and off. Our climate supplies quite a variety of woodlovers so iam usually pretty stocked up. I spend alot of time in the forest of Washington. Have you done any truffles. Seems pretty easy.
