First Grow - Questions on Harvest

Hey guys -
About two years ago, I had a successful grow using the BRF tek but I hadn't really done anything since. I'm trying the same technique and am in the process of harvesting, but I'm pretty nervous about the colors on my mushrooms. I had to throw away one cake since it definitely had some contaminants that I didnt catch prior to the dunk and roll. My fear is that I have exposed the entire fruiting chamber to the contaminant. What do y'all think about the colors? I'm most concerned about the blue/green near the base of the stem, but my caps have expressed some black residue (wipable) but I'd love to have a few more eyes on them.

If those aren't quite clear enough, I can upload some more, but I think you can look at the coloration here.

I could be wrong, but I've seen some posts like this recently and I am pretty sure blueing is just bruising and is not a contaminant. I have also read that if fruits have grown from a cake and THEN the cake gets contamed then they're fine but still throw out the cake after you harvest. But if the cake is contamed and nothing has grown from it already, toss it.

Those mushies are fine man, the color looks like bruising, im sure this is what was one your first thrown out cake. And the black stuff are spores you can prevent this from happening just by harvesting as soon as the veils break on the mushroom.

Looks like the key ingredient to a nice mushroom-miso soup to me. Enjoy and congratulations on your grow. G
