I disagree when applied the situation at hand which, to re-reiterate, is a difference of 2 vs 3 out of ten smokers. Not a significant difference

Yeah perhaps, even though the statistical side of things has been settled. In my experience, I would say "poor" people tend to smoke more than wealthy people. I think it's a mindset, one that was instilled by a working class upbringing that dates most likely from the industrial age. Rich people used to smoke more than poor but then poor people had more income (because they can operate/fix machines and earn money). Better international trade made things like tobacco cheaper, and now poor people can do something only rich people used to afford: smoke. Continue this mindset down the ages (and it's addictive nature) and suddenly poor people smoke more than rich.
Now given that smoking has not been seen as a sign of wealth for a very long time, in fact its well known for it's harm, rich people have opted for a trendier lifestyle, take drugs for example: Cocaine in the 70s'-80's meant you were rich...
Do you see the pattern I'm going for here. Interestingly all of these lifestyle markers that the wealthy use are generally pillaged from another culture. Tobacco for example... long before rich british people smoked it was widely used in other cultures.
Then again, this could all be a load of crap.

My point was that there is not a huge difference in the amount of rich vs poor smokers, a point which I still stand behind
Those stats do not directly tell you what percentage of smokers are "poor" and what percentage are "rich." If 30% of "poor" people are smokers and 20% of "rich" people are smokers, you also need to know what percentage of the overall population is considered "poor" and what percentage are considered "rich." If "poor" people compose a small enough percentage of the population (under 40% in this example,) then "poor" smokers could actually compose a minority of the overall population of smokers even though a "poor" person is 50% more likely to be a smoker than a "rich" person is.

Well, What I learned from the CDC report that is you have a better chance winning the lottery than finding an asian woman with a graduate degree who smokes cigarretes.

That's a good point, especially considering there are way more poor people than rich.

Good lord, we are talking about the rate of smoking, not the number of smokers.

There's a 50% chance it's the poor people, but then again there's a 50% chance it's the rich people

Isn't it weird we shake hands with the same hand we whipe our ass with? Someone needs to invent a hands free whiping system that doesn't involve water being sprayed up the asshole. Unless your into that sorta thing..

Keep an extra towel up by the door of your bathroom, have it strung tight between two pegs and just rub up against it. Change when you go to wash your towels
*edit: or just wait till shower time and stick your butt under the hose
