The stout by which I currently judge all other stouts. PCP, I had the feeling that talk of beer would draw you out.
That looks like a bucket of used motor oil.

I take you for a margarita kind of guy, though.
Cosmopolitans.
Just kidding. I would probably like that mud.

Their Thelonious Monk monastery ale is good. Though I admit I bought it because of the name / label.

It's a pretty fucking good mud. Tastes strongly of roasted malt and coffee, with a bit of chocolate-y aftertaste. Yet, sits easily enough to go through a 6-pack by yourself in a couple of hours.
Don't think you'd be able to find it in your area, though

There's quite a bit of small-batch malt whisky being made in Japan and of course a great market for scotch there. Beer might well catch on, we have to hope Although, it's pretty moot to me anyways; better here (US) than anywhere else
That is hilarious. 99% of beer drunk in the US is still complete piss water like Bud (not the original good Czech one), Coors, Natural Lite etc. Get real.
A few micro brews in some areas in the last 10-15 years and you have the best beer in the world??
Have you been to Europe at all?
Pilsner/lager - Germany, Czech Republic etc.
Ales - UK
Wheat beers - Belgium
And the rest. I will admit and am glad to see that the US is slowly starting to realise that their beer is atrocious, but you are a LONG way from being the best in the world, sorry.
By the way I lived in St. Louis for over 6 years and am well aware of Budweiser and other brands, how prevalent they are and how awful they taste.

What are you talking about man, there's thousands of microbrews all across the country. If you walk into even chain restaurants or grocery stores like Yardhouse, BJ's, Whole Foods, or Sprouts, you will find literally over 100 microbrew beer brands in that store alone that are all microbrewed from the USA. You don't even need to go to a specialty alcohol shop to find them, they are served in CHAIN restaurants now.
Saying that Budweiser represents American beer is like saying Foster's is representative of Australia or the UK.

This Is DC. You can get whatever you want here. I looked it up, the brewery has events in DC. Apparently, it's a big deal.

Excellent! Well, give it a try should you ever get the chance. Most of the other brews produced by Deschutes are exceptionally delicious, too.

Yeah dude, if you've never been to America, It's unlikely you'd know the extent of the craft beer industry over here.
It seems like you're basing your opinions on what Americans drink based off of the brands that advertise through the media (basically anything InBev.) The closest thing to a craft brewery with a media campaign would be like Sam Adams. Most of the good ones just don't have the resources to promote like that, regardless of how good their products are.
For real though, when I go down to the supermarket, the craft beer section is now so much bigger than the macro brewery section.
*edit* sorry just read you lived in St. Louis. But to be fair, the South has the lowest number of breweries anywhere in the country, most being in the northwest/Midwest.

I already went over this. Back on page 3, we established that fat fucks were useless and need to die or lose weight. Since then, Crystal G and I proceeded to steer the conversation to more interesting topics, such as beer and food. Some useless prick from the UK came in, slandering our fine brew, and now here we are.

The most tragic of allergies. Besides like, opiate allergy, maybe. Either one would probably make me unhappy with life.

I literally just started developing an allergy to alcohol too. Yesterday I had one glass of Chipotle Roast (a dark, coffee-flavored stout) at Yardhouse, and I developed a rash, itchiness, and shortness of breath. On New Year's Eve I had champagne made from Moscato grapes and it gave me the same reaction.
The reaction might be related to the hepatotoxic roids I'm on though. My entire liver is consumed with processing this super strong shit, so it can't handle booze anymore.
I technically have a morphine allergy too, but I'm still high on morphine at the moment LOLOLOLLLLL

I'd like some of this

with a glass of this

And I'm laughing at the source of the picture of the Scotch for listing it as a Speyside. It has Highland printed right on the fucking bottle.

Eating too much. The artificial stuff they put in the food is giving people cravings. GMO wheat has a substance in it that acts upon the opiate receptors to make people crave food. I got up to 210 at one point just gorging my ass off, or on. I lost 40 lbs. in 3 mos. by starting back smoking weed and eating small meals.

It may be sulfites. Apparently, many people are sensitive.
http://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/fy731
Quote:
Sensitivity to sulfites can develop at any time during a person's lifespan, with some initial reactions not showing up until a person has reached their forties or fifties. The manifestations of sulfite sensitivity include a large array of dermatological, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, and cardiovascular symptoms. Asthmatics that are steroid-dependent or have a great degree of airway hyperreactivity may be at an increased risk of having a reaction to a sulfite containing food (Lester, 1995). Varying degrees of bronchospasm, angiodema, urticaria, nausea, abdominal cramping, and diarrhea are commonly reported (Knodel, 1997). Adverse reactions to sulfites in nonasthmatics are extremely rare.
Although literature lists a range of figures as to what percent of the population is affected, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) estimates that one out of a hundred people is sulfite-sensitive, and of that group 5% have asthma. Another source states that 5% of asthmatics are sulfite sensitive, compared to only 1% of the nonasthmatic population (Knodel, 1997), while another source estimates that up to 500,000 (or less than .05% of the population) sulfite-sensitive individuals live in the United States (Lester, 1995).
Symptoms of sulfite intolerance can occur within 5 minutes following parenteral exposure and within 15-30 minutes following oral exposure. Sensitive individuals vary in their degree of intolerance towards sulfites, with each having a specific threshold of exposure needed to elicit a reaction (Knodel, 1997). While the majority of reactions are mild, severe nonspecific signs and symptoms do occur on occasion. Although the precise mechanisms of the sensitivity responses to sulfites have not been completely elucidated, three have been implicated: inhalation of sulfur dioxide (SO2) generated in the stomach proceeding ingestion of sulfite-containing foods or beverages; deficiency in a mitochondrial enzyme; or an IgE-mediated immune response (Lester, 1995).

You're talking about the morphine, right? Because I have never heard of an alcohol sulfite.
