Timer for my coolmist...what intervals?

Well, my Kitten gave in and is now doing the coolmist + perlite thing.  But since the coolmist sucks out all the humidity before it has time to collect, she is using a timer to regulate it. 

So should it be two hours off, then run for 15 minutes, then two hours off, then run for 15 minutes, etc, ect?

that all depends on the size of your terrarium/greenhouse(?)

2 hours off, 10 min on = consistant 90percent -rh for my greenhouse.

get a hygrometer :wink:

There are also other factors to consider. Such as size of tube running from coolmist to terr. How many tubes are you running from your coolmist? How far below is your coolmist from your terr.? I use to run for 2 mins every three hours and it gave plenty of humidity for my casings.

Well when I first got into this hobby I came up with this goofy thing. The coolmist runs 24/7 and the ultrasonic came on every few hours to moisten things up a bit. I didn?t like perlite cause I?m lazy and don?t like the mess and didn?t want to mist 3 times a day (back to the lazy thing).
