Streamlining Bulk?

Was wonderin' today what factors can optimize grow time. (e.g. drying grains well before PC)&(G2G?)
What are some tips/tricks/techniques you use to get better times?
I'm currently using the WBS/monotub methods, but for the sake of discussion all methods are welcome here Maybe with some group effort we could compile a streamlined bulk method

This seems like a cool discussion, but I believe most of the time, the organism chooses its grow rate. I guess you could isolate the fastest growth sectors you can observe on petris.
Spawn bags would also optimize grow speed. Having a larger amount of spawn, being able to spread it around and everything means more jump off points for the mycelium.
make a lc of your fastest plate.

Yeah, it's sort of a touchy subject because we also want healthy grows. I'm sure there's a balance of best times/strongest technique.
E.G. I see a lot of advocates for LC, but with the faster colonization of G2G, are you sacrificing anything in comparison to LC (besides injection convenience/contam risk)?
P.S. If this takes off, and it's cool with everyone, I'll keep the parent post updated with all of the contributions (with credit, of course, where its due)

I have found that rehydrating my grains after they are colonized and just prior to mixing with my substrate speeds up the colonizing of my substrate. Other than what I just described I have not found anything that speeds up the process by any noticeable amount.

gypsum in your grain soak and proper grain prep all together, a grain dunk and proper pasteurizing grains always rip therough bulk subs anyway and i think it's the lower nutrition levels that cause that so most of your time saving can be done by dunking your grains before you spawn

It doesn't matter what i think of you...all that matters is clean spawn I'm tired do me a favor

Did a grain dunk for my first mono Props to Frank for that one.
Have there been any discussions on substrates and time? HPoo might be more nutritious, but is it faster than a simple coir/verm substrate?

poos can get tricky real quick.
It has to be aged, ph-balanced, and then pasteurized after being brought to field capacity.
Im still voting for the fastest growth isolated and fruited.
Do understand that there are some that say the longer the colonization times, the stronger the fruit.

no need to ph balance field aged manure, just bring to field capacity but i couldn't imagine any diffrence in times with bulk subs
