    #19396469 - 01/09/14 11:14 PM (10 years, 1 month ago)

hey mycos. one of my BRF babies is full colonized and got a whole mess of nubs popping up early. i want to welcome them into the world properly and am curious if they still need to be dunked.

i dont have pics but a few of the bad boys are a half inch, round bout.

ps i have UTFSE but nothing was ultimately clear on the matter, or I'm just a dummy.any help is appreciated and i'll make you the Godfather of the chilluns.

dunk if the cakes are feeling light. How many weeks did the whole process take?
If you have heavy pinning on your cake you want to put it in a saucer of water overnight.
it will need a lot of water to sustain and grow out all the pins.

Pins will also survive a dunk, so it's really up to you to decide if you think it needs the dunk or not..

I would say use the bottom water/saucer water technique in this case. Hard to say without some pictures. The pins survive a dunk but don't like to be touched very much though.

Without a dunk they may not be able to reach their full potential
