Contamination under mycelium?
    #19396532 - 01/09/14 11:31 PM (10 years, 21 days ago)

Is it possible for a contamination to occur under the mycelium, and in effect become hidden? Thanks for the help.

Contams can always be hidden. They can be anywhere within the colonizing spawn or substrate.

It doesn't affect the edibility of any mushroom growing if that's what you're worried about. Usually though it will eventually take over the substrate and prevent fruiting and in the case of mold release loads of spores into the air in the process.
