knots forming
    #19395239 - 01/09/14 06:39 PM (10 years, 21 days ago)

Just a quick question here. I have a tub that isn't quite done colonizing (it's probably 90%), but it seems like some knots are starting to form anyways. I know the rule is "fruit it when pins form", but does that go for knots as well? Or should I wait until I see full on pins?

More info on what it looks like: mycelium covered coir, with smaller white specks forming on the already existing myc. They're literally everywhere.

Thanks in advance.

It would be ok to introduce FAE in my opinion,
but you might have better results if you wait til it's ready

I was considering it. Still going to give them a day or two before I make a decision.

Does anyone know if colonization will still continue even though knots are forming? From what I understand, once pinning starts, colonization pretty much halts.
