Isn't that more for physical symptoms such as tremors?

It's prescription only but baclofen works good. You can get it for pretty cheap on the internet.

Yup, but turning off the physical response to anxiety helps the mental anguish a lot. No sweaty palms or shakey voice or anything.
They work very well for most people

Can beta blockers be used to treat gaba agonist withdrawal symptoms?

I read that Atenolol can be used to treat symptoms of alcohol withdrawal.

Somewhat yes, but I don't advise anyone to try and tackle GABA withdrawal alone- talk to your doc Say it's booze, get a script for ativan, and take it/taper as prescribed.
Good luck

I've never heard of baclofen, I'll look into it.
Honestly, I could easily get a script for some sort of anti-anxiety, my doc has offered me a script for wellbutrin. Never actually did any research into the stuff. I try pretty hard to avoid taking any medication daily, just doesn't sit right with me. I know people who take adderall daily, also know people who take some sort of benzo daily, such as klon or valium. All of em are so dependent on their meds, I don't wanna end up like that. I don't know if the change is permanent, but it seems like the medication completely altered their original brain chemistry.
Then again, I'd greatly benefit from an anti-anxiety, although so would many people

Try supplementing 30mg IV oxycodone 5x 1oz shot of 96+ proof whisky 5mg of alprazolam.
Will cure all of your anxiety problems pretty quickly.

If that didn't prevent from learning absolutely anything, I'd do that all the time

It is definitely a little counter-intuitive for getting things done, but I swear you'll feel like a million bucks.

It's actually a muscle relaxer that is not abusable so it's easy to get prescribed. It's basically like the fast acting version of phenibut that IMO is harder to get dependent on. Wellbutrin would likely make your anxiety worse.

Wellbutrin won't necessarily make his anxiety worse, he could well get better.
And yup, baclofen is a phenibut derivative. A GABAnergic drug like alcohol, benzos, and GHB. It can be somewhat abuseable as it greatly potentiates alcohol and benzos, but it is very easy to get a script for. Baclofen causes physical dependence/addiction. Just don't take it daily IMO

I tried a low dose of propanolol for my anxiety today. It took away the tightness in my chest which was a positive but it didn't really help the anxiety it actually gave me a bit more anxiety because I was concerned that it may have dropped my blood pressure too low. I actually have a healthy blood pressure and pulse. But for the last month or so my anxiety has been through the roof. I may continue to experiment with propanolol. But for now it seems the best pan symptom anxiety killer is a mix of herbal passionflower, some green tea, and a dash of alcohol for good measure.

It depends on what form of anxiety. For public speaking propranolol is quite a gift .
It won't help with GABAergic withdrawals...
After a couple of months of extensive GHB usage I decided to quit and used this regime:
As soon as withdrawal symptoms emerge take 5-10g beta-alanine on an empty stomach with sufficient water. It'll temper them a lot.
2 x 1,5g l-carnitine a day and L-theanine for anxiety/hypotension
lamotrigine, memantine, en gabapentine also help tremendously.
& the simple multivitamin & zinc.
