Well, we all know you have no remorse for another life. Someone is probably gonna say the same thing if you go missing and/or die.
Who cares, he was a dick.

A cat or any other animal isn't comparable to human life. I have no empathy for animals, although I don't condone them suffering, I also don't burst into tears everytime I eat a steak.

There's still a difference lol. Are they domesticated cows, or farm animals raised for slaughter?
Thin line but it exists. I don't eat cat, and I hope lots of you dont.

so the only difference is the intent with which it's raised.

Filipinos eat domesticated cats and dogs on the reg.
It's a delicacy to them. Don't get me started on Balut.

No, I'd say its the manner in which the animal is raised. Maybe that's what you're saying, but I see it a bit differently than you described.
For a cat, you keep it in your house, make it a litter box, feed it, pet it, adore it, and love it constantly. You bring it to a vet if it has any problems, rub behind its ears when its feeling sad, and so forth.
A cow doesn't live in your living room, often sleeping in your bed. It's bred to be eaten or milked, given lots of fattening food to bulk it up, and not cared much for out of adoration other than for the products it will eventually give.

how about a pig then
we also own pigs. and they are allowed inside.
because they are actually very clean animals. they have their own dog door.
i rub them behind the ear.
and i take them to the vet.
you can't eat diseased meat.

Point made
I just have a personal difference in my view of dogs/cats and farm animals I guess.
