Lol I guess I worded it weird...
But thats the answer I was looking for, just comparing on growing em.

So question.....
I hear this cake 'bruising'.. I wonder if thats what my other cakes were doing since they weren't getting enough water. I didnt dunk em either, it was before I found out about the dunk and roll.
Can u usually save em??  They are long gone anyhow, but just wondering.

I had those first two cakes in a I guess you would call it  a 'monotub'..
I purchased a ultrasonic mist maker, and had that for the humidity and had big holes in it to circulate air around the tub.  And I had a real sucky hygrometer, to where it only got up to 80% when U could tell it was 100%... I kinda gave up after seeing that 'bruising'. And the cakes collected a lot of water beads on it from the other humidifier I had hooked up to the tub, and I thought that was bad at the time... I had the humidifier hooked up to it to help get it to the appropriate % of humidity.

But thats when I decided to do it right on these other two cakes. With the shotgun chamber and new hygrometer that is currently at the proper 95% humidity. lol

Dang, poor cakes. Could've been saved!!
Well, I'm sure to have better luck on this second batch.

I've been misting the perlite well enough but (lightly)misting and letting the mist fall down on the cakes and not letting it go crazy and build up like it was. Lot more fanning now too!

You've had pins up in 2 days after fruiting???

Hahahaha, that is nice!!

I've seen the pics with the pins where they start forming in the jars.
Is it that they are exposed to light?? That would seem it would be easy to start growing at that point, eh!!!

Oh wow, lol.
Yeah I hear ya.

Well, timer just went off for the jars to be done sterilizing.. So I will inject tomorrow when they are cooled down.
I'm just glad I'll be able to get the cakes out once done! (Since I have the right size jars now)
