LC shelf life in refrigerator

I've got a liquid culture..honey or karo, I don't remember which I used..But it's been sitting in the refrigerator for a couple months now as I haven't had a chance to use it. How long will it last this way? Or is it already too late for it?

It should last a couple years really.

I guess that's how i'm going to find out.
I didn't use a filter at all. Just a self healing injection port. I guess it probably does need some fresh air...

Well i'll get some clean air in a syringe and make sure I stick that in it first to make sure it doesn't suck in a bunch of contams.

It'll even still grow in a vacuum, just not as well.

I don't really need it to grow. It's already consumed all the nutrients i'm sure.

Myc will grow in a vaccum? That's news to me, I had 4 pint jars of honey lc that were in the fridge most of the time for about 4 months. I tested them all out and they were all alive. Those four jars had sfds. I also has a couple of syringes of myc from those jars that I sucked up when the growth was fresh and before refrigeration. I used them for inoculation and they were good but I didn't use the whole syringe so I also put them in the fridge with the 4 jars and waited 4-5 months. I tried both syringes and I could see the myc in there. I tried them on 6 1/4 pint jars, all six jars failed to show any growth. I figured they suffocated in the syringe but now I'm not sure. One syringe showed snow white hyphae, the other turned yellowish like metabolites in the water maybe.

I had air, I had like 15ccs of liquid and 5ccs of air. No contams showed in the test jars, just sterile. So I re-did them with another lc and they took right off. I figured they used up the air in the 5ccs and then died for lack of oxygen.

This post made me think about LC, I remembered I have some. I got a couple jars of LC sitting on a shelf behind some newer ones that are apparently from 8+ months ago, gonna put some on agar tonight and see if that shit still works, thought I had lost my Orissa india but if this LC is alive I'm good
It's in a quart jar, literally a mass of myc. or something.. hopefully myc!
