True.
Their dead bodies are always in the middle of the road.

Sigh. I guess he's on his own now. I look for him day at night today and yesterday. I should have bought him a collar, wow.
Lol and its not like he didn't get even with me. I have bloody scratch marks on my arm. Anyways, tomorrow I will put up flyers on posts on the streets around my apartment, and all the apartment buildings.

A 5yr old (at the time) cat of mine went off for 12 days early last winter, I was sure she was gone.. I live in the woods and coyotes and foxes get hungry in the winter.. Almost had a heart attack when I saw her meowing in the window that morning. Was incredibly skinny and ate two 8oz cans of wet food immediately before napping for a day
One year later, she's much more affectionate than she ever was. She used to sleep outside most nights, now she sleeps in bed with me and my dog. Pretty sure she's asleep on my bed right now, actually

My kitty prefers not to go outside, he's a very indoor cat. He lays around all day and come snuggles next to me sometimes.
The cutest thing he does is like this bump thing on my hand lol. I was in a heroin comedown at the time, I couldn't sleep and it was afternoon and I looked to my cat for comfort. He shat on my bed and I was angry because I was trying to sleep for hours.
Unreasonable. I am ashamed.

They do a lot of damage to local wildlife not to mention they are on the food chain themselves. The cat I made friends with was living under the porch feeding on the birds that fed at the bird feeders we made friends and the guy was like, "good take it with you".

Ok now this is just one-sided. Some cats prefer to be inside. I leave my door open to see if my cat wants to go out for a walk sometimes and see the world but he just looks at me.

Ever since that happened, I can't let one outside without thinking "come back soon" And I mean I always worry, always will worry etc. when they're out all night.. but they like outdoors, and I don't blame them I've gotten them all as kittens, so they grew up this way, but if I ever get a rescue that was only an indoors cat, I wouldn't risk it. Also don't think I'd risk it if I lived in town, and definitely not in a city.
I have 3, one 15 now, and they all are "in-and-out" cats.
As for damaging wild-life, that's sort of a perk of owning them Good for mice inside, moles in the yard, etc. It sucks watching your cat catch a hummingbird but I'd rather watch a cat hunt than I would a human hunt for sport. Not that I'm knocking hunting for sport, either.

Fyi there are people out there that hate cats outside.. I read a few stories this year about peoples cats being burned. Some sick people out there. Like cats that use someones flower box as a shitter might make that person do irrational things. Since that cat shit in their space... Get what I mean?
Guess it all depends on where you live and who your neighbors are.

It goes beyond just "in my space" I grow food in that space and shit from carnivores can taint said food and cause some pretty serious illness. Not to mention them digging up fresh seeds (which aren't always cheap) that was just laid down and digging into trash bags to get at any minute ammounts of food that may be in it or killing squirrels and birds and shit and scattering that shit all over a yard that isn't theirs.
Cats do not obey your property line, and until they do, you damn cat owners need to realize your outside cat is a pest. I don't bring my dog to shit in your yard, why should I have to clean up after your pet?

In Thailand, there are strays everywhere both cats and dogs and some people just treat them like shit and hit them with sticks and stuff.
