You have a selfish point of view, only things you personally love deserve special treatment. I may not be empathetic but I wouldn't treat a cow any differently then a cat.

I treat all animals with pure respect. I would never own a farm or slaughter cows or pigs, I was just giving an example of the human condition.

The real question is; did you declaw your cat? because if so it's helpless in the wilderness.

he was already declawed at the animal shelter :frown:

Wait - you put a declawed cat OUTSIDE?

Wow.  I thought you had an outdoor cat.  That's even more fucked up.

@the human who doesnt like cats..

To kill an animal... I would do for food. It would hurt me, but I would do it, just as I would kill a plant forf food. Killing a human? If I had to, I wouldnt blink. Seems we are quite the opposite..

I thougt about laying a curse on you...  but then again.. I guess it will have to do for you to live in ignorance... you will never have a fullfilling life.. atleast not untill you see how wrong you have been... and I will take joy in that

It's not that I don't like cats, I just dont maintain a double standard over their well being and that of any other animal.

I'd rather the animal be dead then have to deal with his "owners" dope sickness and come downs considering he takes his troubles and problems out on those more vulnerable compared to himself. at least if the cat is dead, he doesn't have to suffer.

i really loathe people like this.

Who says that the cat is suffering?  Mebbe it is out living the high life slowly torturing smaller weaker creatures to death, as cats will tend to do.

You sound like the type of person that would throw a sack of kittens in a river because you want to teach children a lesson about mercy.  What do you know about another's suffering?

Did this thread ever come to a resolution?

The cat being de-clawed puts it at a disadvantage, but certainly does not make it helpless. I've had many cats, and the only one that was de-clawed was, by far, the best hunter. She would go outside every morning and stay out all day long, killing and eating everything in sight. Chip monks were her favorite, and I have no idea how she caught them with no claws. Those little fuckers are fast! I even saw her pick a fight with a large deer once. A solid 225 lbs doe was hauling ass with my little kitty in pursuit! It was funny as hell.

OP, what you did was fucked up, but you do seem to be genuinely concerned and sorry. We have all done things when we've lost our cool, and regretted it later. I hope you find your kitty, but I'm sure she is fine, where ever she is.
