Sterilizing grain in filter-patch bags

After cooking the grains and letting them evaporate, they are loaded into bags with tyvek sleeves keeping the bag from sealing shut, folded accordion style. right? is using tyvek here really necessary?
how many bags can safely be put in the pressure cooker? can bags be placed on top of one another?

this is how i do mine, but i no longer put rubber bands around them, because after this first time, i think the rubber bands punctured a little hole in the bag, so now i just use a heavy plate. I'm not sure about if u can stack them on top of one another, but definitely leave room between the bags so steam can surround them, and line ur PC walls with foil so that the bags do not touch the walls.

the tyvec (i use an envelope because i have no tyvek sleeves) is recommended to help during the cooling process of the pc, as the vacuum forms, u don't want air being sucked back into the bag unfiltered (at least thats what i remember reading)
spawn bags tek i followed
make sure u pc long enough

that seems extreme, really aluminum foil?
how do other people fit multiple bags in their PC, do the rest of you use a plate?

I believe the plate is used to hold the bags down and from expanding and clogging your PC valves. You can also use jar lid rings around the sides/bottom and then use your rack to stack bags.
Do you also clip the bags shut though or just use the plate to hold the fold in place?

i think the tek i linked u to uses paper clips, if not, they are definitely used by some (a lot of ppl use of fruiting in the bags, as far as colonization, i would zip tie or use those DIY polyfill rings). yes u can use jar rings to make sure the bags don't touch the side of PC, but i just think tin foil easier to throw in there. i suppose if u are cooking 3 or more large filter patch bags, and they fit snug, u may need to use jar rings because the bags will push each other to the sides of PC wall and foil may be less effective, i have yet to run into that problem though

I wrap my bags in tea towels (thin rags)
Edit: forgot to mention, I get the rags wet first.

It's definitely advised to move up to a laminar flow hood when you move up to filter patch bags.
If one loads the pressure cooker evenly, a dinner plate on top works great to keep the bags from unraveling and plugging the nozzle on top of the unit. As said, use jar rings or some other spacer to keep the bags in place and to allow steam to penetrate all around them and between bags which are stacked. RR

this is what I'm worried about, and I've got a short SAB.
I think I'll use a whole colonized quart jar to transfer to one bag... but I hope it doesn't get messy.
thanks for all the replies
