Height Suppliments, can they work?
    #1938455 - 09/21/03 07:41 PM (13 years, 2 months ago)

im in the market for anything that could help me put on 2-4 inches in height and though of no better place then to discuss it on my fav. forum site.

I was looking at taking suppliemts to aid im my goal. this is a section from a website ive been checking out:

Growth Hormone is naturally produced by the pituitary gland. The natural ingredients arginine, ornithine, lysine, and other specially combined ingredients included in Heightgainer Pro™ growth supplement, have been scientifically proven to increase the amount of Growth Hormone produced and released by the body. These increases in Growth Hormone are safe and essential for growing taller. In 1996, the FDA finally approved the usage of HGH in the treatment of both children and adults for suffering from growth hormone deficiency (resulting in short stature). It is now recognized in the medical fields that HGH is the major hormone among all hormones. It guides and promotes the release and secretion of growth hormones necessary for growing taller. link 2 site

Do you guys think this stuff would really work. any input would be very greatfull.

Do you have growth hormone deficiency? If not,I don't see how these supplements could help you. If you do,I would see your doctor.I really would'nt waste my money on it.

Talk to a doctor about it.

If you are much older than like 13 it may be too late or almost too lare to do anything.

Indeed, discuss it with your Doctor...and beware of OTC "Growth Supplements"! They don't work, and may do more damage than good.
If you have had proper nutrition and medical care throughout your life (I'm assuming you're 18+) you are probably already at your maximum (genetically predetermined) height, although it has been documented that some people (rarely) gain a few more inches as they go through their 20's.
At 5'4", I ceased caring about height years ago, if that makes you feel any better!
