Multiple flushes and transplanting mushrooms to new, fresh substrate
    #19383081 - 01/07/14 03:16 PM (10 years, 1 month ago)

Hey.

Scenario is:

I have a grow kit, I've had a few harvests and now the substrate is void of nutrients.

Is it possible for me to transplant some of the mycelium/empty substrate to a new, nutrient-rich substrate, and expect the mycelium to then colonise this new nutrient-rich substrate and produce more fruits?

could this process (If possible) be repeated multiple times?

Also
Could this, somehow, be done with sclerotia as opposed to cubensis?

Thanks

no start fresh and bury your sub outdoors with some manure, the mycelium is too weak and you will grow nuthing but contams

this is known as super spawning I think. It is definitely not recommended.

A fruited/spent substrate is absolutely covered in contaminants. So if you use it as spawn it will very likely contaminate.

If only it were that simple
