Amanita Muscaria Debated Region and Season Questions

Please excuse this message if it is a repeated post. I have used the search function and have not been able to find information in a thread that answers my question directly. I have become increasingly fascinated with the mythology surrounding the Amanita Muscaria mushroom. I find myself contemplating whether or not to test the waters (or rather the earth)... My first question pertains to region - how does the region i.e. being Arizona, Latvian, New Mexico, Siberian, Washington state, etc. affect the make-up of the mushroom? I have heard that Washington has quite a reputation; however, tradition indicates that Siberia and the southern America (southern U.S. to South America) have the most rich history for metaphysical enlightenment. This leads into my second question: Does the climate and time of the season have any influence on said mushroom. If so, how and why? I have been told that warm climate allows for a more spiritual experience while the cold necessitates more euphoria. Thank you for your answers and once again, please excuse this message if it is repeated.

I can't answer your question as to potency but I really don't think mushrooms from different region could be more euphoric or more spiritual. They all have the same chemical constituents albeit in different concentrations (ie. some could be weaker). But logically they shouldn't produce different effects. I do know, however, that the potency is strongest in certain months. August, I believe, is when they're strongest.
If I'm wrong, I look forward to correcting my thinking. It's been a while since I read about these mushrooms.

the only way to test potency that i know of would be to try A. muscaria from different regions and seasons. and if you want a more scientific view on how the climate effects the mushroom maybe try looking at how heat/cold affects the hallucinogenic compounds inside the mushroom. like Muscimol, Ibotenic Acid, and Muscarine. since muscimol i believe is the main compound see how it reacts to certain temps. hope that helps a bit, if not good luck
