Waking life. What's your favorite quote?

This is mine;
A thousand years is but an instant. There's nothing new, nothing different. The same pattern over and over. The same clouds, the same music, the same insight I felt an hour or an eternity ago. There's nothing here for me now, nothing at all. Now I remember. This happened to me before. This is why I left. You have begun to find your answers. Although it will seem difficult, the rewards will be great. Exercise your human mind as fully as possible, knowing it is only an exercise. Build beautiful artifacts, solve problems, explore the secrets of the physical universe, savor the input from all the senses, feel the joy and sorrow, the laughter, the empathy, compassion and tote the emotional memory in your travel bag. I remember where I came from and how I became a human, why I hung around, and now my final departure is scheduled. This way out. Escaping velocity. Not just eternity, but infinity.

It has failed to help drug addicts get treatment. It has failed to prevent the cultivation of marijuana and the making of illicit drugs. It has failed to halt the flow of illegal drugs into the United States.

They say that dreams are only real as long as they last. Couldn't you say the same thing about life?

you could say life and dreams are the same it is all made up in your head. Maybe the dream world is the ral world and the real world a dream? Paprika is another awsome dream movie "Paprika: Don't you think dreams and the Internet are similar? They are both areas where the repressed conscious mind vents. "

This entire thing we're involved with called the world, is an opportunity to exhibit how exciting alienation can be.
Yes Paprika was rather good. I should watch it again. I've only seen it once.

The boat guy had it figured out...
The idea is to remain in a state of constant departure while always arriving. Saves on introductions and good-byes. The ride does not require an explanation. Just occupants.

"What's the word, turd?" Had me laughing real hard for about 10 minutes.
"words are dead"
I have a sheet of paper I wrote all over randomly when I watched that movie for the first time on 2g of mushrooms. To anyone else it would seem like a crazy person got ahold of a pen and piece of paper, but it all makes sense to me ha. I need to find that again. And I need to give that movie another watch.

Hard movie to remember a quote from it's 2 hours of the writer's stream of consciousness turned into animated vignettes but I like the part where the guy in the dream says you have to turn off lights and look at your hands in order to determine whether you're actually awake or having a false awakening or whatever.....

that's my favourite quote / scene too. the quote is actually taken from the book 'Ultimate Jouney' by Robert Monroe, which is the third book in a trilogy he wrote about out of body experiences

Speed Levitch: Life is a matter of a miracle that is collected over time by moments flabbergasted to be in each others presence.
Young Girl playing paper game: Dream is destiny.
I love the scene where the woman says, "excuse me," and then she stops and says, "can we do that again? I don't want to be an ant..." Because I feel it is such a painful truth that she is sharing but I am terribly afraid to the reality now that the moments that can occupy a space shared in that scene are unreasonably unheard of... plus I used to be her...
Philosophy Professor: What you do makes a difference. We should never simply write ourselves off and see ourselves as the victim of various forces. It's always our decision who we are.
I also really like the quote you shared, that actually is my favorite too.
it's hard to choose, because that movie is basically scattered with all momentous moments of our highest human perfection (imperfection)
one of my all time favorite movies...
oh and interesting that you mention it because randomly today I've had the burning man in my head and looked this up on my phone (still there, haven't had time to read it yet)

always interesting

The whole paper fortune telling game scene, but that could be due to the fact that it also is the intro quote for the album "Nothing Lasts" which is my favorite Shpongle album.
DC
-------------------- The Real violence, the violence that I realized was unforgiveable Is the violence that we do to ourselves When we are too afraid to be, who we really are.

That really showed the attitude of the normal person to me. So desensitized and uncaring.
