I kinda thought maybe bacterial but wouldn't that stop the mycelium from growing in certain places where the bacteria is growing

Not always. You'll be able to tell when you take the substrate out of the jar. If there's no infection the substrate will be tightly knit and fairly dry. If it's bacterial it will be damp and want to fall apart.

NO. DUNK for 24 hours is nearly a requirement. Rolling in verm is highly advised.

okay I'm about to post a pic but looking at it now very closely I'm almost certain that it has become contaminated with some kind of mold

well after looking at it under the fluorescent light I'm not quite sure and it doesn't smell like mold and this pic kinda sucks cuz it a phone camera but on the bottom which use to be the top when it was in the jar also has a few little white spots now on the bottom that are a little fuzzy looking that were not there before and the mycelium was not colonized on the bottom where I scraped thE casing Layar of vermiculite off

there is no mold there, stop worrying so much and stop messing with it, leave it untouched in the chamber
