Holy shit… O’Malley won over Yan?!?! That was the worst split decision I have seen in some time. Thoughts anyone? Yan 100% just caught the shaft.

I was rooting for O'Malley but thought Yan had taken it. I thought it was close, but they didn't score ground control as heavily as expected. Great fight. Yan seems to have been ripped off a few times now, thoughts of Russian discrimination floating around.

Yo, if they gave Aljo the W over Yan, zero shot they let O’Malley get his hand raised. Yan got screwed honestly. It was weird seeing him go for so many takedowns though.

O'Malley seemed to have the striking advantage early, though Yan gave back later no doubt.

Even Sean seemed shocked and speechless at the decision, the look on his face said, "I just got my ass kicked for 3 rounds." I was rooting for him but honestly expected unanimous decision for Yan. I'm not one to scream robbery though, if you want to win a fight don't leave it to the judges.
Was also rooting for TJ but the fact that he admitted he's known since April his shoulder was fucked and he basically wasted everyone's time and held up the division is pretty lame. Glad I didn't put money on him, I imagine whoever did is pissed.
Stoked for Islam. I got mad respect for Charles' skills, but the whole "The champ has a name" thing is corny. Homeboy literally lost the belt to himself and cried about it as if it was unjust. Now he makes weight and we see who the real champ is. Those Dags are just different.

Holy shit the amount of people saying Yan got robbed with 100% certainty is ridiculous. Amazing that a bunch of dorks who probably live at home are also apparently more qualified than the professional judges. Like I said, I was surprised by the decision but when you let it go to the judges that's what happens.
Same people were probably also saying "Charles by literally whatever he wants" before the fight. They're silent now.
I swear UFC fans have to be some of the most obnoxious mother fuckers alive.
But hey, I'm just a casual.

I can certainly respect how you are annoyed. I think it’s important to point out that it is not just dorks. There were many fighters that also said the same thing. Even Dana said he didn’t think the cards were going to turn out like that.
Takedowns and control time were clearly not something the judges saw of a lot of value in. That fight was 29-28 Yan for sure. Even you said that was your opinion. I believe your opinion is correct.
I also agree with you when you say if you want to win a fight, don’t leave it to the judges. I think so many people are crying foul because Yan got screwed and judges have really dropped the ball in the past. It seems more and more as of recently. Certainly there crazy consequences for that to happen in such an impactful fight.

I do feel for Yan, the impact the judges have had on his career now is huge.

I thought Yan won. It was close enough I can't complain too much but would have given Yan the nod. O'Malley was a bit meh. I give him props for hanging in there with Yan, but he didn't look like the unstoppable world-beater he thinks he is.

Yan was number one contender and it was Sean's first time at that level. It sounds like he gained respect that he belongs.

I'd say his striking was as impressive as advertised, but he definitely looked gassed when he was on the ground. Lots of mouth breathing and a look on his face that he was in deeper waters than he'd ever been. He will only get better...
I've been saying for quite a while that Sandhagen vs. Sean would be a great match up, now I see social media is agreeing with me. Would make a great #1 contender fight IMO, even though that leaves Chito hanging.
Not sure Sean deserves Aljo yet but what are ya gonna do...

Who watched Oliveira vs. Makhachev fight? I'll be definitely watching. I'm already prepared with https://www.firesticktricks.com/watch-ufc-on-firestick.html. The fight should be pretty tough. A fight with much anticipation ...

Some suggested that Charles did not fight the south paw in Islam, footwork was off.

Unpopular opinion: Charles would never have won shit if it wasn't for Khabib retiring. People talk about his legendary run or whatever, homeboy was gifted the belt.

It's hard to argue with his win streak; Gaethje, Chandler, Poirier and other wins were impressive imo. But yeah, he's not champ against the Dags.

Israel Adesanya is 0-3 to Alex Pereira LOL
Izzy has got to be the most boring striker we've seen in a while. Glad to see his smug, fake confident ass get TKO'd when we probably thought he had it in the bag.

Shout out Dustin Poirier. I'm as much a fan of Chandler as the next guy but Holy shit if you just checked social media and not the fight results you would think he won. Zero mention of DP, just constant posts about how much of an entertainer Chandler is. Kinda fucked up IMO.
Everyone also talking about how gracious and humble Izzy is, but I don't buy it. He says some slightly humble shit and follows it up with how he thinks the fight was stopped early. His own corner told him it wasn't, but he keeps pushing the narrative. I think Izzy is highly intelligent and knows how to present himself in a certain light and manipulate people. Classic example is his "I'm ready to die" moment in the cage, to me that shit was so obviously rehearsed and forced but everyone else eats it up.
All that to say that was a kick ass card.

“Dude, the way he [Adesanya] responded to that loss is better than anybody ever.” Joe "The GOAT" Hogan
Hyperbole much, Joseph?
Yeah, it's fucking cringe. Israel has created a persona and it's fucking cringe. I lump it in with Colby and Henry Cejudo in terms of how annoying it is.

Awesome card last night. I usually will watch only a few main fights or something, but this had great ones one after another.
From 39 yr old Wonder Boy dogging it finishing Holland, Dolsvic or whatever his name is with calf slicer sweep held in reverse mount g&p finish, a first in UFC, and Pavlovich with 1 minute KO of Tuivasa, again and again, great fights, dos anjos dominating grappling with sub...
