Haha, holy shit I'm so glad I bought this one. Those last three fights went as I'd hoped.
I'd say the biggest surprise was Cody Garbrandt. He outsmarted Cruz and also punched the condescending egotism out of Cruz's head although it came back full force during the post-fight conference.
And for fuck's sake, the UFC needs to nix the immediate rematch idea ASAP. TJ Dillashaw lost the title on a razor thin decision and has beaten the top guys. He deserves the shot, no question.

A lot of times people try to get a rematch clause in thier contract, so there isnt too much that can be done about all the immediate rematches.

I was aware that was more of a prevalent component of boxing contracts, but not nearly as much in MMA, especially UFC. Didn't Jose Aldo claim his contract had a rematch clause with Conor McGregor?

You know how weird shit happens when you are tripping. Well I was dosed for 207.
First there was cowboy v dirty bird debacle. I could swear rogan was catching a contact buzz from my wicked vibes.
Then Cody come out and out cruz's Cruz. Starts break dancing and every thing.
Rousey.... she literally looked as bad as someone would if they were picked randomly off the street and put in the cage with a champion.
Then while I'm still frying nice, I switch to rizin. What a circus. I love it. Pride never dies.

I like Frankie Edgar, Mighty Mouse, Kelvin gastelum, masvidal, Brunson, Larkin, Tony Ferguson Stephen Thomson, max halloway Anthony Johnson and Jose Aldo. Female fighters I like holly nunes pena and tate. Lol long list but I'm a huge fan of all these fighters. Not a fan of heavyweight fighters. If I had to choose one out of this list I'd say Edgar, the dude Is all heart

You are the complete opposite of me. I find fighters like Maia ultra boring, though I appreciate the skill and power. I prefer bangers like Alistair, Krazy Horse, MvP, Bas, Hulk Hogan (joke, to see who's reading, lol) Diaz bros, RoryMac, Rumble, Wandy, Cyborg, Brock, and even Sage (but my boy needs more ground work for sure)... Most fighters from Chute Box, ATT, Blackzillians, BTT, etc.
Retro fighters like Mark Kerr, Kevin Randleman, Shogun and Ninja, Hughes, Tito, Phil Baroni, Rampage. All the lighter weight classes are kinda snoozefest. Watching guys that I could most likely survive a punch from, isn't my idea of exciting. Watching someone that could possibly remove my head from my torso is, however.
My favorite quote about a fighter is: Right kick, hospital - Left kick, cemetery.
Do you guys know who that was said about, WITHOUT googling?

Been a fan for a long while but I do miss the old days without rounds, I know it has a different dynamic but this "saved by the bell" or "break it up stand it up" isnt my preferred way to find out who's who. Royce never would have had a chance against Severn under todays rules.

Love the Diaz brothers too. Overeem eats horses, baroni was before my time. Maia is an absolute monster on the ground and I admire his ground game. Dude tackles people and strangles them.

So far a lot of awesome fights tonight. TKO was cool, some fucked stoppages though.
Just starting ACB51. Seems like the Stream is fucked major.

I think bj penn will get trashed tonight. Watching him hit pads he is super open to counters. How is it that only like ten guys on the entire ufc roster keep the other hand glued to their head while throwing a hook?!.....your brain is up there dude..might wanna throw from cover.

I'd love to be surprised, but I have a hard time imagining this not going badly for BJ Penn. 38 year old returns from retirement, which happened after he went 1-1-5 in his last seven fights. His only win was him dusting another fossil, Matt Hughes. The media also once again brought back the "motivated" BJ Penn bullshit. "Ooooh, you can almost see some abs! That means he wins!"
Again I'd love a surprise. His career didn't end like Chuck Liddell's, but Penn is also facing a young, hungry guy who hasn't lost in the UFC.
