I think that McGregor is going to make the adjustments and win. I thought McGregor was clearly winning the fight up until half way through the 2nd round. He gassed himself right about the time that Diaz hopped on his bike. Connor was inefficient and was way over aggressive early. Somebody else had mentioned earlier in the thread how he has had a habit of relying on his left hand to end fights and Diaz was eating it. I think he will be much better prepared this time around.

But most fighters who aren't at the championships level are not rich at all.
They get mad, because most of them had to have real jobs - I think Don Frye even got fired from the fire department because he was a fighter. The most successful fighters, parlay over into commenting, clothes, brands, internet, or stuff like that. The fight money doesn't last forever if your not the top dog.
the current HW champ, stipe miocic, is still a firefighter. patrick cummings used to work as a fuckin barista until he landed his first big fight vs DC haha.

my predictions about 202 - Mcgregor and anthony johnson with the wins. Mcgregor did not take nate seriously at all in their first fight, but you can clearly tell from the 1st round that mcgregor is the more technically sound striker. not that nate can't pull it off - obviously he can - but i consider it unlikely unless he secures the takedown again vs a gassed conor again (connor loses everytime in that scenario). all other things being equal, the more explosive and technical fighter wins with an early stoppage. e.g. woodley vs lawler, bader vs johnson. everyone knows that the blueprint to beat an explosive KO artist is to survive the early storm and then have your way with them.
johnson wins in his usual fashion with a 1st round KO. glover is too old to strike with him. if johnson doesn't get the 1st round KO, however, hes almost guaranteed to be finished in the 2nd or 3rd. strength is the last thing to go, so glover can still knock anyone out or take them down and submit them, especially if its a tired KO artist.
this is not a night to bet a lot of money on the main card, thats for sure.

I think I am more psyched about the main event than any fight in UFC history, really like both fighters, although for different reasons.
I think it is gonna come down to Nate's chin, I can see Conor panicking if he hits Nate with some good shots and he just starts talking that Stockton shit in his face.. I think they are both gonna make some adjustments, but based on the press event it seems like Nate has got right under his skin, although they were both acting pretty amped up.
Tactics are gonna be fascinating, plus we have never really seen how Conor fights with that extra weight in any depth. Nate looked in great shape at the press event too, seemed like he had bulked up a bit to me, though hard to be certain when he was sitting down and fully clothed..
Still tempted to put some money on it one way or the other, depends what odds I can find really.
Gonna be a FIGHT though, that is for sure.

if i had the money to spare, i'd definitely put it on mcgregor if the odds were right. i agree nates chin will again play a large factor in this fight, as it did in their first (and all of the diaz bros fights lol). however, connor will no doubt have put on some strength since their first fight. we will without a doubt see a more prepared, serious connor than we've ever seen. if he loses this fight, his career is OVER. he performs exceptionally well under pressure, too.
personally i hope nate beats him again. hes been in the game forever, and stepped up in a big way taking that fight on 11 days notice against a KO artist who had just humiliated jose aldo. Then again, it's easy to lay it all on the line when you stand to gain millions of dollars. shit i'd fight connor mcgregor for 5 grand lol.

His career is far from over, he would just go back to the weight class to defend the belt against Aldo. Which is what is "supposed" to happen anyways. Going up 2 is pretty tough.
I've got $50 on Nate, and $25 on Rumble on Bovada.lv

I'll take McGregor via decision because it's more profitable by a lot if he wins.

Everyone is posting the heart icon above their posts. I'm gonna be different.
To be honest, I am not at all impressed with this card. The only draw for me is the main event. If Rumble doesn't get a knockout early he is useless and I'm sick and tired of Cerrone's slow ass.

I don't think I have ever once changed the icon above my post, never even thought of it as a possibility.

damn. should have put money on some fights tonight, i'd have won every bet. was surprised by the decision victory from mcgregor though. not because he didn't deserve it, because he obviously won that fight with multiple knock downs, takedown defense, and a nice spread of damage he put on nates legs, torso, and head....more surprised because nate has a big advantage in the championship rounds due to his bottomless gas tank. either way, one of the best UFC events in a while. every single fight on the main card was exciting as hell. wish i had made it home in time to catch some prelims.

I got a bet from someone that didn't think it was gonna be a fix, I took McGregor and won via decision as expected. People that think this is not rigged make for free money
