All the little head fucks in the world didn't change that he was in there with a guy who can take a punch or three and can stand there and keep dishing it out.

its funny because prior to that alot of people i talked to were saying cutting weight n shit didn't really matter and mcgregor was going to do better with more weight behind his punches lol

he lost a fight against diaz which in the grand scheme of things means nothing.
Well, in the scheme of his career, I imagine that it's psychological ammunition for fighters he faces. He got beat by someone who barely trained for the fight. And he had significant flaws exposed in his fight with Mendes, who also took the fight with McGregor on short notice.
RDA crushed Diaz in their match-up. I can only imagine that RDA would feel even more confident facing McGregor.

interesting how the injury report magically has connor listed as unharmed or something to that effect which is a joke. they have basically been giving anyone with any cuts or shots to the head at least 15-30 days ect. He takes so many shots to the head he did what he said he wouldn't do and shot for a takedown, meaning he had to of been hurt. Anyways just find it interesting that all the sudden connor basically gets to write his own medical, shit smells like wwe
also joe rogan posted on his twitter his friends all with betting slips for diaz....

being hurt is temporary pain while being injured is a more serious condition. two diff terms not interchangeable.

Conor gassed. I've never seen him breathing as hard as he was, and this was before it turned bad for him. He wasn't built like a 170 pounder. He was built like an overblown 145 pounder who hasn't been watching his diet or cut weight. Maybe eating two breakfasts everyday wasn't beneficial after all lol. McGregor would have to take 6-12 months off just to work on his body in order to compete at 155 or 170 and be in optimal condition.

It's times like this, I struggle to take UFC seriously. The featherweight division is on hold so McGregor can pick his fights. Lose in humiliating fashion and then pick the rematch.
So what if McGregor wins this time? Rubber match? Hell no. It's about building McGregor back up.

i think the issue is connor can't make the weight anymore. he already had trouble cutting, now he put on mass to try for another title its going to be even harder to cut weight. so they are 'delaying' that issue and letting him get 1 more crack at diaz, if he wins they will delay the issue once more to give him a chance to hold 2 belts, if he loses he gets stripped/lets his belt go, and moves up in weight.
either way its pretty shitty because diaz doesn't get anything from it except a nice payday, they should make a deal in the contract for a catch weight say 155, since im not sure diaz can make 145, and if diaz wins he doesn't get the belt, but connor agree's to drop his belt in effect putting his belt on the line since he's most likely losing it anyway it would add more drama to the show.
personally id rather see him fight edgar tho, u just lost, now go defend your belt once and prove u can do all these fancy weight jumps you claimed, that in my opinion would build him up better to say he's defended his belt once, then go fight diaz again

Obviously the rematch with Nate Diaz should be a title fight for the interim lightweight belt since RDA pulled out. McGregor and the Republic of Ireland deserve their chance to make history.
Fuck, I was being sarcastic when I started typing that, but you know UFC execs have already thunk it.

Another fight card kicked in the crotch with adjustments and removals. Ferguson injured and two USADA violations that removed bouts altogether. Still think it will be a great card though. Especially because it's free, if you got a TV and the airwaves.

Two of the FP prelims were good. I'd cosign on a rematch between Dodson and TJ Dillashaw. Maybe not as much as I would like to see TJ vs. Cruz since I thought TJ should have won the decision.
Looking forward to the Rose-Tecia rematch too. Love the UFC of FOX's in general. I'm making pizza and drinking vodka in celebration.
