I can't give the kid that much shit. He was forced upon us through the UFC hype machine and people immediately hated him because of his appearance and oddly naive and polite demeanor. He's 19, and probably through no fault of his own, seems like an incredibly sheltered person.
He's clearly a gifted athlete, but by his own admission hasn't been training like a contemporary MMA fighter. He needs to fucking quit school and do this shit full time. He's already made enough money to put himself through college. Get mentally stronger and have some grit installed.
Otherwise he's going to learn to be an oil engineer until he changes his major, develops a drug and alcohol problem, drops out, and eventually beats his father to death with a bat while he sleeps.

I was really hoping to see some masterful jiu jitsu. Royce was in s mount about to work for an armbar. I kinda had high hopes for that match.
And how about the limbo fight? That was just silly.

i didn't bother watching it but did catch the headlines and the kimbo clip. Looked like he got a KO off some fatty who gassed? lol i mean he was stumbling forward into punches you don't see that very often
guess royce won on a lowblow? they should prob overturn that but of course that won't happen. They should add replays and flags like the NFL has cuss these cheap fighters who cheat is getting annoying. but they don't do anything even when they catch it so guess it wouldn't make much difference

Gassed is a huge understatement. They were so inactive that kimbo had the mount and the ref stood them up. I don't think I've ever seen that before.
I wish the Royce fight would have gone longer. I hope pat miletich gets in the mix. I'd be totally fine with a geezer division.

That kimbo fight was the single greatest thing I've ever seen. The absolute two most pathetic slobs getting in there clobbering each other like drunken grannies.
There was a point dada shot in for a takedown and kimbo grabbed his head for a guillotine and dada was so tired he just collapsed onto the floor, and kimbo was so gassed he just fell on top of him. It was the sorriest excuse for an mma fight I've ever seen.

Damn McGregor was clowning Nate so bad in the press conference. They are going to fight at welterweight cause Diaz couldn't lose the weight on short notice, but McGregor doesn't care. He just wants a paycheck.
So Dos Anjos backs out (I think he went running because McGregor already had him mentally defeated), then Aldo declines, Edgar Declines, and Nate steps in. People are really afraid of Connor now!

edgar was injuried, aldo probably wanted to fight for a belt and was told that wouldn't happen, pettis wanted the fight, as did others, they gave him nate because he was the drama queen to hype it up and make more cash. also apparently they had been contacting diaz in the past about this fight, diaz was saying connor knew before hand the guy was pulling out and fighting him
connor should be fined for throwing a punch at that press conference, nates hand could be messed up from that and gives him something he has to worry about. connor is a scared little bitch to do that, trying to cheat and gain an advantage and the fight hasn't even started yet
also nate could lose the weight he agreed to the fight if the money was right but he was just about to eat dinner so he needed the deal right then and their and told them if they have to call back things will change, and thats what happened

Oh come on, nobody is afraid of the guy. Anyone would jump at the chance to fight him just because of the pay day.
And if there's anyone who doesn't get shook up or intimidated its the Diaz bros.

Can't wait to see Connor with a little more weight behind him, what is that left gonna be like with another few pounds behind it?? Don't see him being any slower at a higher weight either, within reason.

He is in Diaz's head clearly. When is the last time you saw one of the Diaz brothers get taunted and punked by an opponent and have absolutely no come back? McGregor was clowning how they act like gangsters, but do childrens ju-jitsu classes and ride bicycles with seniors. "He's making gang signs with the right hand, and animal balloons with the left!" "When people fight me, they call their woman and tell her to bust out the red panites 'baby we did it'. Nate calls Nick, 'Baby we did it!'. Diaz just sat there and took it like a bitch. He was intellectually outmatched, and you could tell he was getting frustrated. Those Diaz brothers are tough, but they are slow, and haven't really done very well against elite fighters. Connor says Diaz will fall by the end of the 1st, and I believe him.
Diaz knows he's going to lose, he's just willing to go in there and get his ass beat for a paycheck. He's a fighter and that's what he does. So while I don't think Diaz is "scared" of him, I think Diaz isn't very confident in himself at this point.

It doesn't take long to realize that Connor McGregor is superior to Nate Diaz intellectually.

Connor is a sharp dude, it is the way he goes about getting in people's head and fucking with their confidence that shows intelligence, not well structured, multifaceted Oscar Wilde type verbal beat downs.
He knows what he is doing and does it very well. I don't know too much about Diaz outside the cage, but think it could be a good fight, regardless of what led to the eventual ticket. Diaz is a brawler with a decent chin and some solid striking, not sure he is at the same level as Connor, and certainly he style is less unpredictable.
I think most fight fans are happy to see Connor step into the cage with just about anyone. I will b watching for sure.
