no you were mentioning those other big dudes he fought, if you realized bigfoot was a blackbelt you would have never even bothered to mention them as it voids your point entirely. i mentioned he was a blackbelt before you even mentioned those other dudes to avoid this exact conversation. so its really annoying when we are having it anyway....... so no i don't make shit up, the convo is just above your pay grade

Why are you attempting to denigrate the MMA knowledge of someone you've never met just to win an argument in the sports forum? You don't know what I know, and making shit up is an embarrassing move for someone whose been posting here for almost a decade.
Do you normally get this upset when there's criticism of your favorite fighters?

u keep saying i make shit up but you've yet to prove that. i said you didn't know he was a blackbelt because you mentioned those other fighters like they have any relevence at all, they don't and you'd know this if you knew the fighters.
upset, whos upset? you because your out of your element here?

You made up this:
Quote:
clearly you don't know anything about the fighters at least since u didn't know bigfoot was a blackbelt even after i told you,
You continue to rely on personal attacks in an internet discussion about sports because you are unable to utilize facts. You cannot quote a single instance of me stating that Bigfoot did not have a black belt.
For the sake of having an intelligent discussion, just address people's points. Staking claim to a superior MMA knowledge in the sports forum is the equivalent of bragging about your penis size. Nobody gives a fuck, and it's embarrassing.

Anyway, I'll bring this back to an actual discussion:
Antonio Silva had a legitimate exemption for TRT when he fought Fedor. It was not against the rules at the time, and Fedor's loss will not be erased because that's not how this sport works. Was Bigfoot juiced to the gills? Maybe. He has two other fights where the tests resulted in fines, but only those two. But when fighters aren't testing positive for a particular fight, you cannot factually state they are cheating during that fight. Again, his TRT was approved during that era of MMA. And yeah, it certainly played in his favor as an athlete.
"If there's any fighter that has a legitimate need for TRT, it's Bigfoot" -Joe Rogan (not exact words, but close)
Bigfoot has tumors on his pituitary glands. This is what causes his acromegaly and is why he is so huge and awkwardly proportioned. He actually had to get the tumors removed to be allowed to compete. The pituitary gland is what produces hormones, such as GH. Without hormone therapies, his health actually suffers.
If anything, it might be an argument for Bigfoot retiring since he is not allowed to treat his medical condition with the exact treatment it requires. Either way, MMA record books do not retroactively change losses just because those fights had different rules than currently. They don't reverse Royce Gracies victories for wearing a gi, which is illegal now. And they don't erase past victories for TRT.
Also:
"The days of the giant heavyweights are over." -Brendan Schaub (again not exact wording)
Schaub went on to further explain the point that amp and I were making. Large heavyweights generally have inferior performances to the 230-245 lbs heavyweight. The top 10 HW are almost all in that weight range.

I'm really excited to see sage Northcutt at 192. Talk about weight cutting, this kid is a monster at 165. Dude is gonna fuck shit up I can sense it.

I also like how he has a karate base. That type of shit throws alot of guys off. They just announced that he is fighting Francisco Trevino. Trevino is gonna get smashed by some of those kicks, no question.

LOL, you left me a zero rating because I provided analysis of Fedor Emeliananko and the HW division that you didn't like. Sensitive much?
No hard feelings from me.

Connar actually makes me genuinely lol. Not many ppl do that. He's very entertaining which the UFC is lacking in. I used to be obsessed with UFC,watch it all day and night. I would wake up at 2 am thinking about a certain fight. Gomi vs diaz or some good pride fight. Now I fall asleep watching the fights. It's soo boring most of the time now. I miss pride and the feeling that someone might get their head stomped like a watermelon or something crazy. I get nervous/excited when Fedor fights. He's probably the last fighter I had those feelings for when I watch. Connar makes me feel like that.

I take it you're not a Demetrious Johnson fan then, eh? Apparently some fans/media don't care for his fighting style or his lack of trash talk.
I'm pretty stoked for UFC 191.

Not really. I like his style though he's fast as f. the most forgettable champ in the UFC. Just not very entertaining IMO I'm sure that will change though. Dodson should be an exciting fight non stop action

Think I'm going to buy this one. I like watching Demetrious Johnson's matches unfold. Like I'm witnessing a brilliantly-planned, masterful craft.
Mir vs. Arlovski should be exciting. Would kind of hate to see either of them get knocked out cold.
Do any of you ever buy standard def PPVs? If I'm streaming, I'm curious as to how much it would even matter.
