It's one of osps guest passes so I'm hoping there will be some kind of special privileges like autographs and such.
I'll take my white belt to get signed if I meet any jiu jitsu greats by chance.

Oh yeah, way early. There are three or four untelevised fights before the prelims . the very first match of the night is also from Knoxville Tennessee like OSP. Scottie hot sauce holtzman. This will be the longest time I've gone without smoking pot in a really long time too, being with the old man and all.

gsps getting a lot of hate in this thread, but I gotta agree with society.
the dude was widely considered the number two pound for pound fighter on the planet for YEARS, avenged every single one of his losses, and cleared out his division respectively.
you guys are making it sound like he ran away from the sport. gsp is not a juicehead. in fact, he would ONLY consider coming back to the sport if extensive drug testing were to come into play. yes, steroid users have shunned others prior to getting caught (see ben rothwell, bigfoot silva, Anderson silva, etc), but theyre also not advocating the use of more extensive drug tests to clean up the sport. gsp had nothing left to prove. he had the highest ppv numbers of any champ on the roster. undoubtedly proved himself to be the greatest WW of all time, and made way for his protégé rory macdonald to follow in his footsteps. dude just wants to live a normal life, after trying to perfect EVERY area of the game, which drove him insane, as hes said many times. I wasn't a big fan of gsp, but I respect the shit outta the dude.

i agree dev. gsp had many boring fights, POST matt serra. he became much more tentative and cautious.
watch gsp's early career, when he got to the ufc n was destroying dudes like matt hughes, frank trigg, bj penn, etc. that dude was a straight killer.
some fights just change a fighter forever. n I believe serra did that to gsp. as Weidman did to silva. as dillashaw did to barao, I think THAT being the best example. renan barao has looked like hot garbage since his first loss to TJ. he had a subsequent terrible fight vs mitch Gagnon, and then looked just as bad in his 2nd loss to tj.

even in alot of GSP's boring fights they were still way more fun that 95% of the fights we are having today. Its just fun to see his opponents try to break him, what they are doing, trying, what works and doesn't

that was absolutely one of the worst cards I have seen EVER.
snoozer from start to finish. what the fuck is up with everyone pursuing takedowns for 15 minutes? ray borg is being hyped as the next title challenger n I haven't seen that dude attempt anything but takedowns. dustin Ortiz is another perfect example of dudes who go in there n wrestlefuck you to a decision. n wtf??? osp was gassed completely after the first round.
so disappointed.

art, I wish I got the extra sleep after watching that card.
ive done lots of drugs and alcohol, so my memory isn't the sharpest, but im calling it the worst card of all time right now.
after watching that fight last night, I realized how fucked the light heavyweight division is. after rashad beats bader, there are NO title challengers left outside of him n rumble Johnson.

The only watched the Fight Pass prelims and those three were pretty good. Sounds like I saw the good ones, eh?
Was Sam Alvey still smilin' when he lost the TKO?
And yeah, the light heavyweight division is mostly a list of people Jon Jones defeated.

I thought that was pretty bad ass that Saint Preux didn't tap even when that rear naked choke was fully sunk in. That's some serious mind control going against instinct. And one of the early fights was nice and bloody. Even those clunky heavyweights had some good exchanges. All in all I felt like it was a good show.

Yes, he was. It's amazing how casually those guys can take that kind of damage.

Another immediate title rematch. Groan. This is one of my biggest pet peeves with the UFC. Cain Velasquez didn't lose a close decision- he got beat down for three rounds until he was submitted by Werdum. This isn't Edgar vs. Penn or Henderson or Maynard. Cain Velasquez was completely dominated. And he wasn't on a humongous on a huge win streak like Anderson Silva or Renan Barao were when they lost the title.
In my opinion, another heavyweight should be given a shot at the title and Cain should fight another top 5. This is the kind of thing that makes the division look stupid when it's got some great fighters.
Cain Velasquez has fought the same three dudes for five years straight in his career.

couple years back the UFC changed from a fight org to an "enertainment" org, i think when they did that they basically were admitting they are nothing more than the WWE at this point and it could help them in court for various reasons for example "fight fixing". Then they signed CM Punk, UFC is a joke at this point, and once peoples contracts run out they WILL be jumping ship to the other orgs. UFC is dieing
they wanted to be more legit so they added rankings, now that they have them they just ignore them........every major matchup recently has been dogshit. condit who lost 3 out of his last 5 fights........tate who's already lost twice while ronda dodges cyborg.......and then says she can beat men but won't fight cyborg because she's on roids? lol everything is just a joke, everything
