Get em scientist! Lol. Yea mendes and Connor have already had words. I'm not at home or I would post the video but Connor was calling him a midget. Mendes asked him if he knew what wrestling was and Connor said, 'ill "rest" my balls on your head'. Mendes said, 'anytime I'll whoop your ass Connor'. Connor said after aldo he's gonna come looking for mendes and whoop his midget ass. Edgar is def just as worthy an opponent but Connor doesn't need to be getting sidetracked with every potential matchup. He focused in Aldo. If he can't go, mendes is the next logical choice, simply for the fact that the trash talking has already taken place and the passion will be there for both guys.
I can't say for sure but I'm inclined to think mendes will pose more of a take down threat for Connor than Aldo would have. And I think mendes will have more success in that category against Connor than he did against Jose. Jose stuffed just about every one of mendes' take downs, I don't think Connor is that elite in terms of take down defense (but I could be wrong). All these questions will be answered in less than 3 weeks.
The thing that is so special about Connor, regardless of the fact that he hasn't faced "elite" FWs, is his movement and distance control. Nobody controls distance like him. Sure he's never fought an Aldo, a mendes, or an Edgar, but none of them have fought a Connor. The FW division, or any division, simply does not have a fighter with a similar style. Connor hasn't just beaten these other guys, he's embarrassed them. This next test will tell us everything we need to know about Connor mcgregor. Put your money up now, because nobody knows what's going to happen on the 11th. We might be looking at the real deal.

he has 2 losses both submissions, its safe to say based on history that he's weaker on the ground since thats the only place he's lost.
also you can tell by the way someone fights in the ring what their strengths and weakness's are, he likes it standing, just like silva did and weidman would have destroyed silva 10000x worse if he took it there, but he let him up. but go ahead tell me how he proved he's so good on the ground with sonnen
also not to be an asshole, but seriously dude if your going to talk about my faith comment, maybe not take it out of context? its really stupid to debate something i didn't say, i said they don't have faith in his WRESTLING, i didn't say shit about faith in winning titles....FFS dude.
i can do that shit too u know, but i prefer not to make retarded points based off of things people didn't say

Happy fight day everyone! Should be some goodies tonight. The cards that look the best usually suck and the sucky looking ones always deliver the goods lol

That legacy event was sick. 6 or 7 first round knock outs.

Haven't been on in a few days but DAMNIT! I knew Aldo would pull out for one reason or another. He's scared. That or he failed his drug test. If he doesn't fight the drug test results won't be made public. I even told my boss a month ago that I had a bad feeling Aldo wouldn't show up to fight.

Fans are so emotionally invested in this fight, that it's clouding their understanding of the situation.
Jose Aldo has a relatively severe rib injury with nowhere near enough time to recover. Rib injuries are typically prohibitive to training, let alone fighting. His opponent knows his injury and thus Vegas odds are dropping. If he can't train, he shouldn't fight. This happens regularly in this sport. TJ Dillashaw and Chris Weidman delayed their title defenses because of their rib injuries.
Doesn't matter how much hype and promotion is behind the title defense. If Aldo's injury prevents him from training and fighting, it would be an intelligent decision to pull out.

DW already said Jose is in. He also said Chad is ready if anything changes.

I feel you dude, dw is the biggest bullshitter alive.
Aldos trainer Andre pedreneiras said today that he doesn't know if Aldo is fighting. I feel like if they're this uncertain two weeks out, there's no way this fight is happening.

He's pulled out of 4 fights on USA soil. There is no proof he's injured at all. His camp said he had BROKEN ribs. The UFC requested XRAYS and their doctors found nothing wrong. Now the camp is saying bruised ribs which can't be proven. You would think Brazilian doctors would be capable of doing an x-ray within an hour of the injury and know there is no break. It's super fishy...especially a mere week after they had Neveda's drug testing agent arrested for doing his job!
If Aldo doesn't fight the results of the second test won't ever be made public either. I think Aldo knows Conor will beat him and has already decided he's not fighting. He's just hoping Mendes' wrestling will handle Conor so that he can beat Mendes again and skip Conor. That or he knows he failed his test. Something very fishy indeed.

its also possible its all just a stunt by the UFC including the drug testing arrest, WWE shit to hype the fight, or possibly aldo claiming the rib thing is to fuck with corndog, your theory could be spot on as well

yo, why is no one talking about the main event from last night?
I had that shit recorded and just watched it. HOLY FUCK!!!!!!!!!!
also, call me crazy, but I also thought that maybe aldo is faking an injury to fuck with conor's ego. a "i beat you while I was injured" type thing. aldo literally hates conor. I could see this being an elaborate headgame.
