Damn!!! Thats shitty!! I was looking forward to seein Souza get a quality win.... love The Gator!!! (Jacare = Alligator in Brazilian) He is definitely one of my favorite Brazilian fighters.
Jacare, Big Nog, Little Nog, Mia and Mir are, I think, the best BJJ practitioners in MMA. Or, have been. Lots of great talent coming up!!

that was easily a number one contenders fight.
jacare would've won, most likely. but romero has some power dude. I could've seed him ko'ing jacare honestly.

na, cro cop said hes got more in the gas tank. I expect to see him retire after his next fight where he most likely takes a step up in competition n gets brutally ko'd. dudes a legend no matter what.
did u guys hear theyre bringing back chris fuckin cammozi to fight jacare??????? that has to be the WORST rematch in ufc history. no lie.
on a totally unrelated note, has anyone heard "cause I'm a man" by tame impala? totally fuckin awesome tune.

Dude is gonna make things interesting for sure over there, even though he's a boring fighter. Could win a title

Fighters that rely heavily on a grinding wrestling style have to constantly win to stay in the UFC. Hence Jon Fitch was cut after his loss to Demian Maia. Hence Dana White not being thrilled with Johny Hendricks past performance.

Yeah, tricky situation for Dana and the guys... they want exciting fights but how can you cut someone that is on a 5 fight winning streak.....

I agree with dana though. watch wrestling if that's your thing. theres nothing I can stand more than these boring ass grinders. exactly why they've all been cut from the ufc.
jon fitch, yushin okami, jake shields, phil davis.
no one wants to see Hendricks as champ when all he does is plant his head between some dudes leg
we need more Robbie lawlers, Erick silvas, conor mcgregors.

Looks badass dude. Those teams have a legit rivalry n this season is gonna show that. Im not familiar with all the dudes on the show but I know Steve Carl who was wsof champ is competing. Heard there's some straight killers on this season though. Haven't heard Dana hypin it up much though which kinda scares me

Who's gonna bust who's ass? McGregor or Aldo?

aldo should take this fight by decision, n im a HUGE conor mc gregor fan.
both of these guys cut a lot of weight. I could see them both going balls to the wall n seeing a somewhat slow 4th and 5th round.
however, take a couple things into consideration.
1. aldo is known for gassing entirely in the fifth round. if conor can hang with him until then, n his striking still looks crisp, I could see him winning by tko late in the fight.
2. conor is soooooooooooo in aldos head. aldo is going to come out extremely emotional. that means hes either training harder than ever and will look like a straight animal in there, or hes going to come in wreckless, trying to take conors head off. and against an excellent counter striker like conor, that could possess MANY problems.
3. we have never really seen conor on the ground. while I do think aldo wants to stand with conor n prove a point, I think if conor is not imposing his will on aldo, he will take the fight to the ground. we've seen some solid takedowns from conor in the past (see the max Holloway fight). conors jiu jitsu is a biiiiiiiiiiig question mark.
I cannot fucking wait for this fight, honestly. the weigh ins for that shit are going to be absolutely bananas. lets just HOPE, no one gets hurt. that would kill me

If it goes all three... 29-28; 29-28; 30-27 (Van Zant)
................. 30-26; 30-26; 30-27?!? ..... you guys agree with the scorecards???? I thought the 1st rd was close, leaning toward Felice... maybe I need to watch it again?

Yea dude I can't wait to see that McGregor Aldo fight too. I think that McGregor poses a legitimate threat. Aldo is notorious for gassing late in fights, ie: the 5th round in the Hominick fight. I also feel like Mcgregors height and reach advantage will be an unfamiliar situation for Jose. Im really hyped about this one, I am cheering for McGregor I suppose, but if I was to put money on the fight, I'd go with Aldo.
