I just got a few cuttings from my friends seed grown cactus. My friend bought the seeds as peruvian wild collected bridgesii from a reputable seed company. I wonder if there are bridgesii in Peru. I've only heard of them from Bolivia. No matter what these are cool cacti. They branch like crazy. I've never seen a member of the San Pedro family that branches as much as these. Only the three cuttings in the middle are the wild collected bridgesii.

I would not say "new species"
Just another trichocereus, maybe natural hybrid? ...but it looks so funky! Nice.
You got me jealous about, I want also that clone, it looks so cool
I have somewhere read about bridgesii in peru, maybe humans have move bridgesii from bolivia to peru and there is a result grown from seed, naturally hybridized wild tricho maybe. Just my theory that someone or some group of people have moved bridgesii cuttings to peru and there is result when flower have got pollen from another near by trichocereus. Maybe...
Peru and Bolivia ain't so far away from another so bridgesii moved to peru is very likely. So peruvian wilderness have got new pollen from new plant around and so on..
It can be just a bridgesii x pachanoi if things are like you said there is bridgesii in peru or we can suspect someone have planted bridgesii to peru and therefor new strains occur from seeds.
Very nice indeed.. So this strain are sold as "peruvian bridgesii" seeds?
Maybe answer is indeed in the name of seeds, bridgesii grow in peru, it have got pollen from surrounding pachanoi's and now there is result?

Those are rad man! I just received a couple nice rooted Bridgesii, one about a foot and the other about 15'', but damn those make me jealous!!
There is a cacti farm/store by our vacation home in palm springs California that has thousands of cacti. I haven't been there since starting my collection, but definitely plan to pick up a few next time I go (next Christmas) With any luck there will be something cool to grab, maybe not as cool as what u have pictured though

Hybrides do happen in nature... Not all can produce viable seeds though Think Mule

I just got them from my friend who is a grower/ collector. They are new and untested. These are the first cuttings hes taken. But since they are (probably) bridgesii they should be highly active. After looking at this plant for awhile, I've noticed some similarities between the clumping montrose bridgesii and this clone. I'm excited to plant a few of these and see what happens.
