blue oysters shaped like corals

Hey guys,
So i have some blue oysters growing, and due to either light or lack of fresh air exchange, they are growing like corals. I was just curious if people have eaten them like this or if they are not worth it. They look and smell fine, would out just be an aesthetic thing? Anyways I'm on my phone, so that's it. I might get some pictures up tonight.

If they are in fact oysters that are malformed then they are safe to eat.

The answer is to give them proper lighting.  If they look like corals, they're starving for light and if they look like baseball bats with tiny caps it's from insufficient fresh air.
