So, I've been reading through this forum for the past week. I have decided to also grow myself.
There is a link on one of the sponsors web sites to midwestgrowkits.com and pricing all of the things I would need on the internet to grow the kit's price really isn't far off and I would save the extra expense in gas from driving every were to pick up supplies.
Is there anyone that would recommend against the practicality of just simply getting a grow kit for a first timer? I would like for this to be a repeat thing but I feel like it is a whole lot less overwhelming perusing this route up front.
Anyway, thanks for all the great posts I've been able to read so far.

Just say no to grow kits.
You can assemble your own kit for 1/3 to 1/5 of the cost, and it really isn't much trouble at all. You can get 90% of what you need at wal-marx or any other superstore.

clear tub-10$
brown rice flower-10$
virm-5$
mason jars-20$
light-5+$
spores-10+$
perlite (recommended but not necessary.) 10$
foil, water, pot and lid for steam sterilization, time- few bucks.
my first grow... about 70 bucks, probably less then that. and next grow can cost even much less of not nearly free.

Fair enough. I'll just drive by there since I'm going into the city tomorrow anyway...
About a foot of snow fell today and there hasn't been a plow.. If there is one that comes by I'll see how much all that costs.
Anyway, thank you for the quick replies. Yeah, also it'll be illegal for like another couple years at the most? Look at Colorado. Time are changing in America, for better or for worse.

Man a grow kit is bullshit. just go to the cultivation forum and look stuff up your single biggest expense is a pressure cooker but you only gotta buy that once. Even with some failed jars you'll still produce more on your first grow than a kit will give you. With a little bit of ingenuity you can have your first grow up and running for under 100.00 USD.
