Excellent oyster shot. What type of wood was it growing off of?
I'm beginning to have more respect for the predatory wasps, they are badass killing machines. I'd love to see one battle the strongest insect the rhinoceros beetle.

The first one isn't on a pine cone, maybe a fir or spruce? I dunno. I think it's a Strobilurus sp. though. The second picture does show a pine cone, here's the whole thing.

And here's a Trichaptum shot I forgot about.

Solid work, Buddy. The butterfly is Red-banded Hairstreak (Calycopis cecrops).Super tiny , and super fast, not an easy pic to get.

I was thinking it was Strymon melinus (Grey Hairstreak). Not exactly my field of expertise though...
