Have you taken 5-HTP before?  I'm curious about it.  I'm currently taking L-Theanine, which is pretty nice and might try adding some 5-HTP to the mix.

If you take 5-HTP regularly, then it's not a bad idea to also take l-tyrosine (only on an empty stomach), so that you have a balance of serotonin and dopamine precursors. Also, probably not wise to take 5-HTP regularly unless you feel you really need it.

http://www.livestrong.com/article/539256-l-tyrosine-5-htp/

"Numerous studies published since 2009 document the need to administer serotonin amino acid precursors simultaneously in proper balance with dopamine precursors in order to prevent depletion"

"5-HTP may deplete dopamine"

You might already know this but I thought I'd mention... Exercise caution with all supplements. Always read about the possible side effects. They sometimes can throw your body out of balance if you take them for too long or if you've got them in the wrong proportion. They can never replace a good diet.
