Using mycobag and fruiting/inoculating from tupperware
    #19372717 - 01/05/14 12:32 PM (10 years, 25 days ago)

I don't have room for a grow box, so am thinking of purchasing some mycobags ( http://www.fungi.com/product-detail/product/sterilizable-airflow-spawn-bags-set-of-10.html ) to use instead.

I have a few questions (I know I've been asking a lot of them :L).

To inoculate the substrate, instead of a glass jar, could I use tupperware? You see in grow-boxes the inoculated substrate comes in a plastic tub, could this be done normally?

With the mycobag, and when I want to fruit my spawn, can I tip out the substrate, or would I need to leave it in it's tub?

Thanks

if it's a pp5 then yes you can use tupperware but a good rule of thumb is the container should be as tall as it is wide, but you could just use the bags and fruit right out of them:shrug:

It doesn't matter what i think of you...all that matters is clean spawn

I'm tired do me a favor
