Puffiness on top of cake. Should I worry?

So I just put my first two cakes in , and this happened. The texture of this puffiness is sort of soft, but it isn't wispy, just soft. Is this a good thing? Is it a contam? "Don't worry about it" Isn't going to cut it.
What am I looking at?

The original image is too big to put on this forum, but here's a better resolution HERE And I do need to lay down verm.

*Done* I think you're right about it being a contam. Within two hours it's started to turn bluish white, but the puffiness is receding.

turning bluish could just be drying out. Did you dunk and roll? I don't see any verm on it, so I'm guessing you didn't dunk it for 24 hours either? How long has it been like that? could have something else growing on it...
The reason you dunk and roll is to soak it. The verm you roll it in acts as a moisture barrier.

I dunked it in water for 24 hours, but I didn't roll any verm on it. If it's just drying out then I know how to fix it. Thank you!
