Found in the foothills (Solano Co.) associated with Quercus, anyone know?



The rough bark in the background of the last image is Quercus.

Looks similar to a type of Laurel.

I searched through a bunch of Quercus pics and none of them seem to look like that.

They all have a deeper serration of the leaves, or smooth edged leaves with no serration at all. :shrug:

Its not Quercus, I know the local oaks a little at least.

Thanks, I don't think the leaves are smooth enough for that.

Looks like Heteromeles arbutifolia, common name toyon.
