I personally recommend pfjars with just 1 innoc hole in the center, no need for 4 holes IMO less innocs, less work
less work for you 4 times the work for your myc, and as for a sponge for a filter

I like to experiment, it is experimental, only try if you can afford it
everybody makes their own pfjars, and I have only had success with it so far
you forgot to quote next line, the idea was that if you use LC you really only need to innoc once it will grow fast still few weeks - maybe 3 weeks, I dont need my jars that fast anyway
you can innoc 4 places too, that is just extra work and more possibility for contam, with 1 innoc there is less risk of contam
but of course success rate with pfjars is like 99% anyway
if I wasnt using LCs, I would definitely be using 4 holes, or colonization would be terribly slow
with LC it seems fast enough for me if I use 1 innoc or 4 innocs, doesnt matter to me only use 4 innocs for testing syringes... else I always innoc in the center
I like to save working time, then just place on shelf
I like those sponges better than micropore tape, have only had success with them, even with reuse each time (cut out with scissor into squares and fit into the hole) but I do all innocs in a SAB

:-)
anyway, OP, I like tall drinking glasses for pftek, they rock double sized cakes, I think I would use them even if I had only spore syringes that worked fine last, even though a little early pinning
but with LC they are even better
drinking glasses beat my homemade jars, and they colonize very fast with LC if using enough LC
Im sure there must be some mention of them on this site, some prefer them, some dislike them in the end it is up to you if you want to try
I like them for normal innocs, and normal pfjars for testing syringes

If by "they rock" you mean they have a tendency of stalling because of gravity compacting the substrate, then I have to agree.
The short half pints are recommended for a reason......taller jars/glasses tend to stall.
Also, if the tall ones fully colonize, there is a possibility of getting nothing but bottom fruits, because gravity has sucked all the moisture to the bottom of the cakes.....
