Karo (sucrose/fructose) will carmelize at a lower temp than the malts. Malts are like 320 or something while Karo is in the 200's somewhere, I looked it up once and forgot the exact number. 20 mins tops in pc for karo.

Peace,
FT

well for one that is too much karo all you need is 1 teaspoon per 250ml so 2 teaspoons is plenty for 500ml not 5 tablespoon that way too much sugar for them :yaysugar:. second how long are you cooking them like Fred Teddy said 20 mins and heck that might be too much probably go with 15 just too be safe. third broken glass how the hell did that happen:whatdidyoudo:?

Thanks...  I use one tbsp per 100 ml of water.  And I pressure cook for 15 minutes.  Would too much sugar cause it to caramelize?  And if it does caramelize, can I still knock it up?  And the marble thing is just genius.  Sometimes you don't know how much of a dumb dumb you are.

I will do agar when I'm ready.  Right now my environment is not that clean. Lc's are working great for me and they are fast when it comes to my spawn runs as well.  Plus, I'm not too familiar with them yet.  I will look into it as time progresses.
