First pins!!! But...

This is my very first pin set which are about 3 days old. They got one stripe going down the side of their stem, in person I think the stripes look dark brown in color. Is it over/under misting, too much FAE, birth mark, shitty contam? Also the cake is discolored because I flipped it over to take out some cobweb invasions... at least I hope that's the only reason it's blue.

And no, there is no verm layer on it.

looks fine. You might want to put a verm layer on it though.
Just be gentle.

The stripe's not from a contaminant. You didn't roll in vermiculite but did you at least dunk the cake? If not there's still time. Dunking won't hurt the pins.

Yeah I made sure I dunked the cakes for 24 hours. I didn't have verm at the time I birthed the cakes, and I thought that there was a small window of time after dunking that the verm would stick to the cake.

Just mist them with a sprayer and then the verm should stick just fine.

Sounds good. But i rather not handle the cakes too much anymore... i have one in isolation that i also flipped, but it's real blue and the myc looks like it's receding, so I may throw the thing out. You guys think I can wait and do it after the 2nd dunk when I have to handle the cake.

ya I would definetly roll them before the next flush, they'll probably take a few days longer before the second flush comes out, but youll get much better results. after u dunk them roll them in the dry verm, then leave them in your grow box and after an hour start misting them, don't soak them all at once just mist every hour for half a day or until they look wet enough.

actually look at my avatar pic, I never got results like that from brf without dunk AND roll, in that pic I had 24 brf cakes and I got 6.25 ounces dry weight. so if I were u I would definetly dunk AND roll after this flush.

That's an Awesome avatar bro! Yeah I'm definitely going to roll them after the 2nd dunk. I got 4 cakes that I rolled and 3 that I never had a chance. So I guess I'll see a side by side comp for the first fruit. Thanks for the info.
