For the record, when it comes to interviews and they ask why I left the reason I'm giving is "I just didn't trust the owner to take the restaurant in the correct direction."
But you if you want to be a homo like that it's fine, act like this is real life and you know who I'm talking about.

Last restaurant I worked at, the owner was the biggest piece of shit I've ever encountered in my life. He stole from his employees. Belittled just about everyone he could get away with it with. I had worked for him previously and had an idea of what I was getting into before I started. But I was in a weird place in my life at the time and the chef, a good friend of mine, promised me it was going to be different this time. It wasn't.
He (the owner) ended up (allegedly) raping a girl in the back after hours. That hurt business a lot. I quit a few months later when I wasn't seeing any of the tips I was promised and we were on the verge of being shut down by the health board. Place was destroyed in a fire a few months after I quit. Pretty sure he did it himself to get the insurance payout. Still an ongoing investigation I guess.
It's a pretty fucked up industry. Attracts all sorts of people. Good and bad. Luckily a couple weeks after I left that hellhole my friend got me a job at the restaurant he works at. It's far from fine dining, but we do well enough. The owners are amazing people and the core staff actually give a fuck.
Good luck OP.

You seem pretty defensive for a (presumably by your registration date) grown man, which is usually a sign of being unable to take responsibility for one's actions (Which here would presumably mean one's words)
And come on, you can do better than "you're an idiot." Would you expect a teacher to hand you a graded paper back with only your final grade, not marking which answers were/are wrong? What do you think was idiotic about what I said?

pcp I understand completely the sentiment about keeping your mouth shut. But you don't know who I am IRL, so it does not apply. You're jumping to conclusions and adding information that isn't there, it's ignorant.
I even added a second reply, but you ignored it. So forget it, you don't want to listen, I don't want to talk. Fuck off.
You get ripped off then come back and talk to me about calling people "piece of shit." daiy gets it. You must have missed the part about the 1099.

By second reply, you mean the one where you said something about "being homo"? That's what I meant by seeming defensive.
And you really thought I replied because you said "piece of shit"!? No, the ticker was the unnecessary "Turkish" remark; Ancestry is irrelevant. Regardless of whatever that dude did, if you say stuff like that you aren't gonna come across as any better of a person than he is.
Well, I guess you still might in certain company..

p.s. I don't/won't report you because I'm not a baby, but be careful saying straight insults like "fuck you" and stuff like that. It's allowed in the "Off Topic Discussion" forum but not here. Sometimes mods won't care/do anything but they usually do ban people who get reported (clicking the whistle-looking thing at the bottom the says "Post Extras:")

Believe it or not I am aware. But you are making extremely general assumptions are are insulting my intelligence to the point of me not caring if I get a warning.
Also, I'm a white rabbit. If that makes me racist... oh well!

I'd look into catering companies and the people who run large events too. Places like that will need alot of workers fairly often. They often use temp companies when they get last minute orders, which usually sucks for all parties except the temp company. If you catch them at the right time they will hire you, usually with a basic application and a quick interview. Find out when they have big events and call before/during to see if they are looking for workers.
You'll make a bunch of money in a mad rush, then have time off. If you are a hard worker it will show and they will start depending on you more and more, then you'll have a full time job where you can save up, learn to cook, and learn the basics to start your own company someday.

'fuck you' is not actually an insult to you, it's a simplistic way of saying "I wholeheartedly disagree with your opinion on this subject" or something of the nature. we're an adult oriented website, while we do have rules, we have to allow some leeway for open discussion

I hate explaining this again haha but perhaps it will put some people into anothers mindset. I wasn't able to finish due to my federal surplus running out. It was based off of my credit. I was approved but they never told me I would have a cap. And it wasnt a lump sum of money, it was always by each semester (note that I was paying out of pocket to live on campus at the time as well, and put food in the tummy and gas and car expense, federal loans don't cover housing for universities, which meant I had to work full time as well as attend full time so that I could receive aid) and all the credit I had, being as I'm only 23 now, was 2 credit cards fully paid off, and a current car loan, which I had never been late on (also note that I had no co signer for any loans, and all I got scholarship wise was 3,000 for my grandfather being a vet and me being adopted) that being said, I reached my cap and I had no other option but to A) pay out of pocket, yeah right!! or B) drop out and work multi jobs to just pay the minimum INTEREST!!! Not even the loan, just the interest accumulated. At the time I was 60k in debt, now I'm down 10k to 50k. I'm sure ive missed tons of info, but you should see the picture from here. Cant go back because I have no way to pay for it. And I could go to a community college and just get my General Reqs and get a certificate, but I have no time being as I have to pay so much for the loans already accumulated and plus ive already done all that, and MY FUCKING CREDITS WONT TRANSFER!!! ha thats another loooong stry, so just take my word man.

What about grants? Forget loans...try grants. Or write more papers to get more scholorships? I don't know man, there's a LOT of financial aid for those who actually try to get it.
