Pretty standard crime and sci-fi flicks, that rank high on the imdb 250. Those are my favorite genres, what can I say.
Star Wars Matrix 2001 Godfather Goodfellas Pulp Fiction Scarface
Maybe some horror or "mindfuck" movies like Thing, Donnie Darko, etc.

My favourite movie right now is Spring Breakers. These days it takes a lot to hold my attention and sit still for a whole movie, but Spring Breakers keeps me buzzing the whole time. All time is more tricky, I tend to forget about movies quite quickly, but I used to like Blade Runner a lot.

It was always The Godfather, but after watching it 150 times you start looking for some new greatness. Some of the contenders in my head are The Deer Hunter, The Thin Red Line and Goodfellas.
But after thinking about it, I would have to say Godfather I and II are the greatest movies of all time. Deer Hunter and Thin Red Line have these slow parts that are very introspective and intended to be meaningful, but I frequently can't form an opinion of what they mean. Goodfellas is pretty perfect for what it tries to do, but coming first, The Godfather seems more important. Taxi Driver is also IMO nearly flawless, but it's too far on the edge for best movie. If the question was "What is your favorite movie" I have a limitless attention to keep re-watching Snatch.

I used to be a bit of a movie buff but I think it was that pretentious adolescent phase where you watch and you talk about it but you don't really understand.
Buuuttt...
Angels Of The Universe (Iceland)
I think I understood pretty well. It's an independent film that covers a guy's schizophrenic break down after the extreme stress of breaking up with a girl he was intensely in love with (intense stress increases dopamine, and high dopamine leads to schizophrenia in the predisposed - I didn't get why he went crazy until I researched this!). So many awesome characters in it, all talking about life, mental illness and so on. One of those films with a kind of philosophical / spiritual undertone throughout. Very absorbing. Go see.
Trailer here.
And the full movie is also on Youtube with subtitles.

Léon: The Professional
Into the Wild
Requiem for a Dream
Any other movie with Jennifer Connelly in it(Higher Learning, The Hot Spot, Dark City, etc..)
After seeing her in Requiem I became obsessed with her.
Fear & Loathing and Almost Famous make the list as well.
Can't think of any other's right now...
