As an energy drink abuser for the last several years, I have to say I hate the negative effects of caffeine overall. I didn't realize the anxiety it was giving me until I stopped.
I don't drink coffee or energy drinks anymore, but I do drink tea alot. Tea is great and it's been shown that L-theanine combined with caffeine reduces some of the negative effects of caffeine like anxiety and so forth. So I recommend drinking tea if you want a slightly better form of caffeine.

it is a bit gross to talk about, but coffee in the form of enemas has been helpful for me when aiding the recovery of my liver, and also helpful in reducing physical pain.
but as an alternative to drinking it, i have had a good experience with a type of tea called yerba mate. although some experts who know more about the stuff claim that it can increase the chance of developing certain kinds of cancer if it is drank in excess.

Yerba mate.. that is sacrificial.. cancers come because the spirits are displeased.

I was thinking of trying this for awhile. I'm now leaning even further towards not drinking caffeine for awhile

interesting... i didn't know that it had a history as a sacrificial herb. i only know about it because a tea store near my house sells the stuff, while touting its benefits of course, so perhaps they forgot any historical roots in exchange for profiteering.

Yerba mate is to be drunk out of a carved wooden gourd. It is drunk with a spechial straw and prepared in strict ways. (Originally very ritualistic indeed). Yerba mate is often shared.. it is flavoured differently to each occation.. it may also be drunk alone, to gather strenght, or together to share affection, friendship, lust, love or as a marriage rite when sweetened with honey..
it is something done rarely in big doses.. first you add the gourd 1/4 full with yerba mate, about four or five tablespoons.. you then add a little cold water, put your hand on top as a lid, and turnnit upside down and back ten times. You usually say your blessing during this.. then the partizipants will be served the excess bitter water which should be a tablespoon each, and take a bonski.. then boiling water is added to fill it 3/4 to the top, and the sweetener is added. One puts in the straw and starts drinking after saying eachs blessing.

This intrigues me enough to the point where I'm definitely going to try this spiritually next time I take lsd. I will try it normally in a few days, perhaps. Thanks for sharing.

I drink coffee 1-2 times per week. As with any other stimulant I find the negatives do come with daily use. Some claim otherwise but I'm willing to bet they just can't see it because it's become the norm.
