Mushbox FAE question

Dose anyone know exactly how the mushbox FAE works? How dose it exchange the co2 for fresh air? There are no holes in it like the monotub and SGFC. What is the air pump for? Dose it have something to do with that? If there is a humidifier, then what the hell is the perlite for?

It works quite ingeniously actually. It's built to separate you from your money very efficiently. It does what you could do better for less money and takes the hassle of having to learn something out of it while costing more money. It's made to be cheap for them to build(higher profits) and just effective enough to give you a couple mushrooms so you don't complain that it failed completely.

Considering in 10000's of attempts no one has built a very good self automated fruiting chamber for cubensis mushrooms I think you just got scammed by an online vendor of swill garbage crap.
See the first link in my signature.

FAE works with air pump, which, i think, also humidifies the air a bit, by exposing it to water inside machine. It blows air inside and thus provides FAE.
It doesnt need holes since it already has pump.
Perlite is the main thing for humidity.
That air pump doesnt provide humidity, only humid air. I dont think there would be much diffrence with normal air pump. And this aint humidifier, its just an air pump.
I would never buy this, sgfc provides better environment than this obviously too expensive and over complicated setup.

175$ for that crap? AND they recommend you buy your spores from "reputable vendors like spores101"
Stay clear of that junk, all it does is take advantage of people who want success without the proper knowledge.

I didn't even notice it cost that much. Holy FUCK. Pumps do little for FAE when put under perlite.

RogerRabbit said: A quick search will reveal that when I designed the shotgun terrarium I was working 12 hour shifts, an hour drive from home. This resulted in being gone 14 hours per day, with no way to perform fanning or misting.
A double outlet 100 gallon aquarium pump in a shotgun terrarium will result in about ten percent of the air exchange you would get naturally, plus destroy the flow of air up through the perlite, causing all sorts of problems.
Hollow stems and poor potency are not FAE or humidity related, so instead of fixing what isn't broken, lower the temp to prevent hollow stems and isolate proper genetics to get the potency you desire. You will never get consistent potency when growing from spores. Every grow is like a roll of the dice. RR
Air stones and air pumps don't provide FAE like people think they do.
Just search for ( Perlite FAE pump ) tick the trusted cultivator box and you'll find literally 1000s of threads about why that 175$ contraption works for shit, it's been proven bunk 1000s of times and the SGFC has been proven awesome 1000s of times.

Also for the record
Quote:
The Tropic Aire humidifer, air pump and analog timer helps you maintain proper humidity and gas exchange appropriate for cultivating large mushrooms with a casing or cakes.
This system does not come with any spores or cultures to get started. You will need to acquire that seperately from a reliable vendor like Spores101.com
Gas exchange? You need FAE
Spores101 just type it in the search engine lol. They're by far the worst place to order spores from in most peoples opinion. For a good long while they were giving out oyster spores labeled as cube varieties.

Great for beginners or experienced growers.
Combine wtih the Mushbox casing kit to get MASSIVE mushrooms.
For experienced growers

Just to drive it into your head a little more... The SGFC cannot be fucked with on any level. It's super cheap.. And it works. All other methods SHALL NOT PASS

I was not actually thinking of buying one. I just want to understand their technology, if it's revolutionary I would adopt their idea, not buy their product. So basically they do not exchange the co2? It's just a contraption to confuse us and take our money. Dose everyone agree with that?
