Yeah right.. put your name on a paper.. cus that will be heard of..
if we kill seven billion people.. THAT will get heard of. Saying it is inhumane? Wtf? Think lf it as putting them out of their missery.. it is quite humane indeed.. they always suffer, and to do the humane thing would be to put them out of their missery. Or like executing a murderer, if you prefer that.. killing mother earth and extinguishing every damn spechies there is. We werent due before an other 4,5 billion years... I say kill them.

you say it is a new world order to control the amount of births, but your new world order is already here under your nose. curbing the amount of births will bring greater freedom, because less humans means there is less becoming lost in a crowd, less mob psychology, and more freedom to openly express ideas without having them become lost in the gigantic mass of humans.

Holy fucking shit, Batman, we have found somebody who knows even less than Al Gore!
Quote:
morrowasted said: As the ice melts on the north pole, the gulf stream brings cold water to the united states, which brings cold weather to the united states.
The Gulf Stream is a warm water current. It carries warm water up the East Coast of the United States from, wait for it, The fucking Gulf of Mexico. After it loops around it brings a chill to Britain.Quote:
the cold weather the USA only further substantiates that global warming is happening
There is nothing that the religious adherents of Algorism will not ascribe to Globullshit WarmeningQuote:
people forget that land is only 1/3 of the planet. global warming is about the net temperature of the planet. ice reflects most sunlight, but water absorbs most of it. the net temperature of the water is increasing, which means the net temperature of the planet is increasing.
No it means the net temperature of the water is increasing, which they take into account when they make the calculation that the global temperature has not risen for 15+ yearsQuote:
you will notice it's mostly only old people who are about to die anyway that are railing against climate change. fuck 'em, who cares what they think? it's our generation that is going to experience the consequences.
The consequences to your generation of eschewing the use of the single greatest boon to humanity, fossil fuel energy, will be far worse than any theoretical increase in temperature, which is not happening beyond peleoclimatic norms, and has not in any way been proven to be detrimental. Climate changes and it's a good thing, too. Otherwise we'd still be eating mastodons. I have a daughter and two step sons. I would like to see their future rescued from alarmist nitwits Quote:
and no, it isn't their fault, either. most of the damage was done during the stone and iron ages when everyone was subsistence farming.

exactly, so there will also be less requirement for housing, so people are not forced to live in cramped conditions in cities like sardines in a tin.
and there also will be smaller classroom sizes so that the failing education system can reform itself and give each child a good education.

Nobody is forced to live in a cityQuote:

As long as liberals control education it will fail. Also, some kids are below average in intelligence. About half of them, in fact, and the best education for a lot of them would be as a fry cook.

All we need a a massive volcano eruption. It'll shoot out millions of tons of sulfur dioxide that will create a massive cloud of dust acting as sunscreen to the earth. Them average global temperature would go down 0.5 to 1 degree Celsius.
CO2 is not a major greenhouse gas. Methane is and water vapor is by far the biggest. we're at what 400 PPM for CO2 right now? Office building have 1000 PPM of CO2 in the building, nobody dies. Hell, it only feeds the plant more. Hydroponic greenhouses have 1400 PPM of CO2 because it increases the plant growth by 70%.
Ocean rising is not due to the poles melting or Antarctica melting. It's simply the expansion of water. The more heat, the more space water takes. By 2100 the oceans will go up a foot and a half. It isn't such a huge thing considering that the oceans rose 425 feet since 12000 years
If every country on earth stopped producing CO2 today, it wouldn't change a thing cause CO2 has a half life 500 to 1000 year in the atmosphere. So these carbon taxes and everything is useless.

I know you don't like facts Zappa but the Bureau of Meteorology indicated that this year Australia, as a whole, experienced its hottest week, month and year since records have been collected here. Your comment regarding liberal education is very misguided too. The conservatives here have just utterly ruined any hope of education reform and set us in our current rut. Not that I expect y'all to follow Aus politics at all but when we have conservative state leaders publicly criticising and shaming their (same conservative party) federal counterparts on the issue it is truly a horrid thing that has been done.
Regardless, global warming is real, its happening. If you were truly a skeptic I'm sure you'd be much more interested in investigating the arguments from both sides, I'm pretty sure you only read 1 of those 7 articles I posted up on the other thread. Correct me if I'm wrong but a skeptic would have read them all, especially since I put both for and against arguments.
Also Patlal I think you're underestimating the significance of micro-increments. If a balance is thrown out, then it is thrown out... regardless of the scale used to measure such balances.
Water decreases in volume when compared with ice too... H2O is polar and when frozen aligns itself according to these poles; this causes an increase in the space it takes up. Currently, it's all just locked above sea level in solid form, I get what you were trying to say though.

Then how about the numerous studies showing rising temperatures as a whole across the entire globe? You're fine in an ideology fight, but when you go up against actual peer-reviewed data you're gonna lose every time. Give it up before you embarrass yourself in this thread.

Well I'll tell you what, Australia is most assuredly a significant portion of the globe. Biggest island EVUH!Quote:

I have investigated both sides. I find one of them utterly devoid of accountability and incredibly dogmatic. No warming for 15 years in spite of increasing CO2 levels, failed predictions, temperature fluctuations entirely within historical norms. Sorry, I call bullshit.Quote:
Also Patlal I think you're underestimating the significance of micro-increments. If a balance is thrown out, then it is thrown out... regardless of the scale used to measure such balances.
here's a word for you. Homeostasis. Look it up.Quote:

I believe water is the only chemical that loses density when it goes from a liquid to a solid state. There are tons of polar covalent chemicals that do not do that.
