Well around here it's back with a vengeance! Three days ago it was freezing and now it's raining. The roof is leaking and I didn't sleep much.

As the ice melts on the north pole, the gulf stream brings cold water to the united states, which brings cold weather to the united states.
the cold weather the USA only further substantiates that global warming is happening
people forget that land is only 1/3 of the planet. global warming is about the net temperature of the planet. ice reflects most sunlight, but water absorbs most of it. the net temperature of the water is increasing, which means the net temperature of the planet is increasing.
you will notice it's mostly only old people who are about to die anyway that are railing against climate change. fuck 'em, who cares what they think? it's our generation that is going to experience the consequences. and no, it isn't their fault, either. most of the damage was done during the stone and iron ages when everyone was subsistence farming.

Are you saying that subsistance farming is responsible for global warming? Because everything you were saying was making sense until that point.

Yes, there is actually a net carbon dioxide sink on land now, but there wasn't at that time, because individuals would carelessly slash and burn megaflora in order to make room for their farms. Now that agriculture has been largely corporatized, it is much more concentrated in specific areas, and those megaflora (and their related fauna) have returned. There are more trees in the USA than there were the pilgrims arrived, for example. If we continue to concentrate agriculture and increase yield-per-acre with things like transgenic crops, we can further improve the situation.
Carbon emissions certainly don't help but the problem is much more complex than that.

Well, you've got this, let me propose that:

Basically, anybody can find sources to support their viewpoint. One way or another. Fukuoka said the exact opposite thing that you brought up and he proved it was possible to get yields as good or even better with natural culture ( permaculture ) than with corporate agriculture.

I'm quite confident that billions of people burning huge amounts of coal and gas would have made a bigger footprint than a couple of million people burning forests.

If you think about it from the the perspective of the carbon cycle, during the farming years prior to industrialization, by burning megaflora to create room for farming you are merely messing with the surface carbon that readily cycles anyways, due to that megaflora respiring/dying each year. During industrialization humanity took from the deep pools of carbon and put them into the mix of pools of carbon that will readily cycle and contributes to global warming

Dude what the fuck are you talking about? You were just telling the truth. 95% scientific consensus amirite? People need to be aware the environment is being fucked up badly by our species.

i don't know honestly. i know that it is true, and you know that it is true, but we will never convince somebody who does not want to see the truth. yet i do not have the resources to back up my claims 100% like people insist when they actually just don't want to bother giving the matter any thought. but it's weak on me to care, hah, so fuck it i don't and won't. but don't say that i ever claimed to be perfect.

all of the measures that we implement will not make a difference, anyway. recycling, reduced waste, hybrid cars, electric cars, solar energy, etc... doesn't make a lick of difference, partly because only in the wealthy nations like the Americas, and some European countries, can implement those things so that huge sections of the globe still produce insane amounts of greenhouse gases... but primarily because there are always more and more human beings who constantly require more vehicles, more plastic goods, more factories, etc. etc. to produce all of the conveniences that are part of our technological evolution.

the humane method is to sign a birthstop petition, so that the world leaders will be persuaded to put the rampant, out of control births of their respective nations under control, and so the number of humans will humanely decline without violence or outbreaks of even more violence.
