Is this golden oyster mycelium?

I took some wood pellets, added in boiling water and wood ash (I was thinking along the lines of a wood ash straw pasteurization?) put it in a pint jar and steamed for 2 hours, when it cooled, aka the next day, I put in some chunks of inoculated pf tek cake, put some dry verm on top and tightened the lids...This was on 12-06-13. well it didn't do hardly anything. We are at the 2nd today in fact, almost a month later, whereas the pf tek seems to grow mycelium within days) and I just checked them out again, and they are not growing the fluffy white mycelium I am used to seeing...but I do see these types of 'roots' sort of a greyer mycelium maybe? not sure really this is why I am asking. here are the pictures:

and:

if this actually golden oyster mycelium? never seen the thick 'roots' like that only, always white puffy stuff.

maybe I should restate my question. I know no one can tell me for sure if this is golden oyster mycelium just by the picture probably, my real question is I suppose, is does this look ok, any remarks/etc.

It looks like mycelium to me, it's even similar to some oyster mycelium I've seen. It's probably ok. Keep us posted.

It does look like oyster mycelium that I have seen but the time it took to get this far just does not make sense.

cool. thanks for the reassurances. I thought the time didn't either. maybe initially my wood mixture was to moist so didn't grow right? that would be my first theory. I am a newb, and after reading I am guessing I am making it too wet which seems to be a common thing with us newbs. I haven't tracked down what the goal is as far as percentage of moisture for wood pellets yet, to test it. I was to stupid evidently to think of weighing prior to adding water, then adding a percentage of water weight compared to pellet weight to actually figure it out like someone intelligent, but now I know better. My next goal would be to actually figure out how much the pellets themselves have as far as moisture goes. cannot imagine they would have much moisture being pellets though. guess it's time for me to get all scientific like or something.
